Pros:

Amazing location, so close to everything and right beside the beach. They have 2 amazing dogs that were one of the best things about the hotel.

Cons:

The hotel lacked general maintance everything. Things were broken and outdated through the property. We stayed for 4 days and room was not cleaned, no clean towels, toilereees or anything. The AC in the room was extremely loud, cockroaches in the bathroom. Pictures on booking.com are not relevant at all to the conditions of the rooms. This hotel has potential to be incredible but needs major renovation and maintenance.

Čistý a prostorný areál, ale bez pláže. Na moře se dá pouze dívat.

Cons:

Na pláži se vůbec nedá koupat protože tam jsou obrovské kameny. Celý večer hlučná hudba z vedlejšího baru. Asi by to chtělo technickou údržbu…jako zavírání dveří nebo rozbitá lehátka na zahradě.

Waardeloze management.
Pros:

Diverse keren geprobeerd de accomodatie te bereiken via mail, met vragen of er ook gerenoveerde kamers beschikbaar waren. Er waren namelijk redelijk veel slechte reviews over de kamers. Naar herhaaldelijk mailen ook met tussenkomst van Booking.com geen enkele reactie. Een familielid die al verbleef in Ahangama is dus naar de accomodatie gegaan om persoonlijk te informeren bij de manager. Het werd zeer schofterig en onprofessioneel geholpen. Echter wij hadden met CC gereserveerd en konden geen restitutie verkrijgen. Nu snap ik ook wel waarom gezien de reviews, ze daarom lopen geen enkel financiële risico en hoeven blijkbaar geen service te verlenen. Zo zonde want de locatie aan zee is prachtig.
Wij hadden geen enkele vertrouwen meer in de accomodatie en hebben voor deze 3 nachten op voorhand een andere accommodatie gereserveerd. Uiteindelijk heeft Booking.com ons hierbij goed geholpen en hoeven nu toch geen annuleringskosten te betalen. Dank Booking.com

Amazing stay
Pros:

I had very nice time there. Very good location ，good view from our balcony, big and comfortable beds . Breakfast was not bad , but if more fruits would be much much better. I love people who worked there, they are soooo nice , friendly, helpful and hotel had 2 dogs , I will miss them sooooo much . Will recommend this hotel for sure

Be Careful When Booking This Hotel!
Pros:

We had a long trip around Sri Lanka and were staying in Arugam Bay before coming to Ahangama. After a tiring journey, we arrived at Manta Ray Manor Hotel expecting to check into the room that was already confirmed and accepted by the hotel.

To our shock, when we arrived, they told us they had no rooms available. Even though our booking was confirmed, they said they couldn’t give us the rooms.

This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. They completely wasted my time and my friends’ time after we traveled such a long distance. We were left without accommodation and had to search for another place at the last minute.

Very poor management and communication. Please be careful before booking here.

Great location and can’t get any closer to the beach!
