The location was perfect. As a lone traveller I was in the middle of everything. Bars. Restaurants, beaches, promenades and public bathing pools. Plus Mojo’s own food heaven and musical entertainment which was nightly . The place was buzzing clean and well run. Staff were exceptional. The room I got was lovely but I fought to get it. Why is in what I didn’t like. But I wanted to write a fair review.
When I booked a budget room I thought I was getting a standard room with a window. When I paid for the room a sneaky box you click on reveals that it’s a room without a window. I tried to rebook one with a window and was told it’s non refundable. I complained to booking, com and they assured me that the Hotel will do all to resolve the issue upon my arrival after my 12 hour flight. However on landing a week later this was not the case. A stand off ensued. They agreed to an upgrade for a fee to a window room for five days and then a change to a different room there after. Perfectly agreeable. But then I was summoned to leave my room after 3 days and move to another room. I agreed as I was happy either way the next room with a view. Was perfect. However after 2 days they insisted I vacate to a windowless room for the last 4 days of my stay. I was utterly devastated. Two staff tried to intimidate to vacate. The manager with no finesse did not care. So I refused I paid the upgrade and I was staying. And I did. In the meantime others arrived and had the same dissatisfaction only to be told it was booking.coms fault and not there’s. Not true. If in the description the property described the room was interior with no window then the customer would know. But to be told sorry too bad no refund is disgraceful and scamming customers. The picture clearly shows windows and large airy rooms with a kitchenette clearly designed to dupe the guests and must stop its ruining holidays and that is not fair. Be aware a lots of building works going expect and early wake up on drilling etc from neighbouring apartments renovating on the same street.
The vicinity was excellent for our purposes
The friendly and helpful staff, the location and the roof top are amazing!
My room was stinking of sewage even after the very efficient staff cleaned drains three times, a thorough check of pipes/drains etc should be carried out. To plug in the kettle I had to unplug the fridge, very annoying. Rooms should be made more comfortable with a chair/table, an additional towel, multiple plugs, a little tray to hold cup/teaspoon and (OUTSIDE the cup) tea/coffee/milk sachets
Un bruit permanent d'un énorme tuyau de conditionnement de tout l'immeuble dans la chambre...
Trop de bruit de rue.
Un lavabo inutilisable dans la salle de bain...
Évitez la chambre 101.... pour les autres je ne sais pas...
Everything
the sheets didnt smell fresh and i had a pipe leakage in room 212
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room and facilities were clean. I appreciate having a mini frig and a hot water pot in the room. The air conditioner was an added bonus. The bed was very comfortable. MANY options close by for food choices at the MOJO Market next door.
At night, there was loud music at the MOJO Market, but fortunately I brought earplugs.
Was very good location. Great to have all the restaurants and bars below
Rooms was very clean but had some cockroaches in the kitchen
The location is very convenient and close to the sea
- First room was without windows and smelled very strongly of mould. My bad not to read the small print!
I was accommodated to another room, I didn’t mind it was small, but my throat hurt from the chemicals used in the toilet brush holder. The smell was unbearable.
My friend’s room, albeit with sea view, had sewage smell too.
- With an upgrade I was accommodated to a larger space, which was a game changer. However, it was also right in front of a construction site.
- while the larger room / apartment was much cleaner, the others had mould in several places.
- In the evenings you hear the loud noise of the music played at the Mojo Market.
Overall I felt quite uncomfortable since day 1, but they were very strict on the cancellation policy.
Awesome location and I know the Mojo Market and area - very close to the promenade - and that is why I booked there.
The furnishings in the room were VERY cheap - wooden bed that creaked for instance - and the value for money overall is not what I expected. I could have stayed in a much nicer place for the same price.
