Pros:

The Onsen and sauna is great, the staff is wonderful and the bar and cocktails are lovely .
The location is perfect, close to the ski lifts as well as town.

Stylish Hotel conveniently located.
Pros:

The hotel was stylishly decorated and the location was convenient both to the Kyoto Station but also to many of the tourist destinations.

Cons:

The restaurant was very expensive. We ate at other restaurants in Kyoto where the food was as good if not better for half the price.

Great location, great onsen, but uncomfortable sleep and very tight space
Pros:

The onsen (although not a real onsen) was wonderful and it was great that you could reserve it for private use. There was a very strong, cold draft at the doorway though which made it difficult to get dressed as the locker / dry area is in that part. The location was also great as it is very close to Nagasaka gondola.

Cons:

The room layout was not good. The sleeping area was so tight, we were practically inside a box with walls on all 4 sides of the small bed. The room was also freezing as there were no curtains to keep the cold out besides the fact that the sun would shine straight into our faces in the morning. It didn't help that we paid about $400 per night, not good value for money. On the other hand, the bathroom and sink were nice, modern and clean.

We'd definitely stay again, perfect for a small group.

Highly Recommend - modern, great location and awesome lodge. 11/10
Pros:

Highly recommend this lodge. Only a dew minutes walk to the Gondola, and a few minutes stroll to the main drag in town. The speakeasy pours the finest cokctails in Japan. Be sure to book the tub, but head down to make it extra hot before you plunge in. Onsen a few steps down the road for authentic and hot experience. The room was modern and spacious and it was great to have a cooking area for breakfast. There is some great vinyl to play in your room. We forgot something and the host mailed it to our next location. I cannot recommend enough for a ski vacation - Nozawa Onsen is a great little village and the terrain is big and and varied with enough steeps for us Canadians! We had to wait only eight minutes to load the Gondola on a powder morning.

Cons:

The drying room coud be warmer to better dry our gear.

Excellent small lodge with amazing hosts in a location very close to Nagasaka gondola.
Pros:

The staff as well as the facilities (hot bath, steam room, sauna) and the bar. Oh the vinyl records with the record player was a bonus!
In fact, everything was amazing.

Such a unique experience
Pros:

Great size apartment, well presented and comfortable. Saunas and hot tub perfect way to end the day. The host is hospitable and friendly.

Totemo manzoku shimashita.
Pros:

Very cute -- artistic and boutique. Kazu was terrific and made our trip much more enjoyable because he helped us learn about the area, restaurants, onsens, etc.

Amazing stay, thanks to the owner
Pros:

The wellness was amazing. Very new and clean! Two saunas and a cold bath outside, and a hot bath with showers inside.
The room was nice and clean as well! And the owner was amazing, helped us with recommendations and additional service for our wet shoes and booked a taxi for us to go to the station.
