Disappointed
Pros:

Location was brilliant, right at the end of the bay. Sun loungers for use of guests.

Cons:

My room was budget and have stayed in a few, but not even a chair or stool was provided. Had to ask for kettle, which was standard in all the other places I stayed in Sri lanka. Not value for money, wish I had chosen better, left one day early was like staying in a dorm.

Pros:

Il villaggio dei sogni.
Al blissbay abbiamo trovato un angolo di pace. A pochi passi dalla spiaggia, leggermente fuori dal centro, perfetto per chi cerca calma e tranquillità. Molto buono anche il ristorante e gentilissimo tutto lo staff.

Viel zu teuer für das Gebotene
Pros:

Wir hatten ein großes Haus am schönen Strand, abseits der eigentlichen Anlage.

Cons:

Die Badezimmer waren nicht geputzt.
Wir hatten zahlreiche tierische Besucher in der Nacht... Riesenameisen unter der Klobrille, die schnell ihr Revier verteidigen, ein Frosch auf der Klopapierrolle, usw....
Ein Leintuch hatte Blutflecken...

Da wir nur eine Nacht geblieben sind, haben wir einfach durchgehalten.

Traumlage, das eigentliche Potential liegt noch im Dornröschenschlaf.
Pros:

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Strand! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht, Unzulänglichkeiten zu beseitigen . Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut.

Cons:

Die Anlage ist einfach, die Zimmer waren sehr einfach und zum Teil nicht sauber.

La posizione sulla spiaggia e la gentilezza dello staff. Ci hanno anche organizzato un’escursione di snorkeling ad Angel rock.

Cons:

Il prezzo, un po’ caro per la media. Colazione (inclusa) non molto abbondante.

Had a wonderful few days relaxing at Bliss bay, friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely location right on the beach.

Family stay in Nilaveli
Pros:

If location were everything, this place would get a score of 11. Nestled at the end of a beautiful, clean sandy beach, the Blissbay has the best spot of all the beachfront bars and hotels. Dinner on the beach was really special (the food is good too).
The resort felt safe, which is important.

Cons:

Overall we were disappointed with the accomodation and hospitality for the price we paid. The room was clean and basic but the plumbing in the bathroom is not up to standard (very low water pressure, poor drainage) There is a lack of information on arrival so expect to have to ask one of the few staff for anything you need.

Matig resort
Pros:

Direct aan het strand. Lees vooral even wat niet beviel.

Cons:

Er zaten twee gigantische ratten in de spouwmuur. De staart hing eruit in onze kamer. 's Nachts hoorde je ze geluid maken. Ook zat er een kikker op de mujr toen we wakker werden. Dit is nog niet zo gek bij dit land, maar ratten gaat toch wel erg ver.. De airco werkte maar op één stand en het ontbijt was matig. Ze brachten de omelet en je kreeg pas brood nadat je omelet op was. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is echt veel te duur voor wat je krijgt op de kamer. Daarnaast werd zonder aankondiging de poort naar het perceel gesloten om 23.30 uur. We kwamen om 23.55 uur aan, hebben de tuktuk buiten het terrein moeten parkeren en moesten over de muur klimmen om nog binnen te kunnen komen. Dit mocht best even verteld worden. Je kunt beter in regio Uppuveli een hotel zoeken, daar is tenminste wat te doen.

Pros:

Très bon séjour, localisation parfaite et staff très gentil. Il s’agit de petits bungalows localisés dans un joli jardin qui en continuité avec la plage. Des transat sont à disposition. L’hôtel est situé à l’endroit le plus agréable de la plage.

Sehr gute Lage direkt an einem schönen, sauberen Strand. Die Zimmer sind einfach ausgestatt, aber geräumig und sauber. Das Essen ist hervorragend und preiswert. Der Besitzer wie auch die Angestellten sind sehr sympathisch, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen.

Tolle Lage, schlechte Zimmer, schlechter Service. Lieblos.
Pros:

Tolles Grundstück in toller Lage an einem der besten Strandabschnitte da.

Cons:

Wir hatten 4 Nächte das „Deluxe“-Zweibettzimmer mit Meerblick und „Balkon“. Die ganze Anlage wird lieblos und ohne großen Service geführt. Lieblos sind auch die Zimmer. Zudem keine Zwischenreinigung, tröpfelndes Wasser, Handtücher nur auf Anfrage. Der Balkon ist runtergekommen und geht nach hinten in eine Art Sumpfgebiet. Keine Nachttische und Nachttischleuchten. Am Strand können sich alle um drei Schattenhütten kloppen obwohl genug Platz da wäre. Keine Kartenzahlung. Völlig unverständlich alles.

Nous avons choisi ce lieu pour nous poser et profiter tranquillement de la plage et de la mer dans un cadre paradisiaque. Nous n'avons pas été déçu, à l'image de son gérant qui aime ce lieu, et tient à le faire/préserver à la fois simple, calme, et confortable. Nous avons aimé la gentillesse de toute l'équipe disponible aussi bien pour nous cuisiner de bon petits plats & Lassi, que pour nous faire partager leurs jeux locaux (carrom = billard indien, cricket). Possibilités d'activités (snorkeling, dauphin, baleine). Un guide Sri Lankais nous a confié qu'on trouvait ici la plus belle plage/eau du pays.

חוף מאוד שקט, שליו ויפהפה. מי שמחפש לנוח ולהרגע, מקום נהדר. הצוות מאוד נחמד ואדיב. מכינים אוכל טעים. גם בעל המקום היה מאוד אדיב.
אין מסעדות קרובות, ואם רוצים לצאת לאכול בחוץ צריך לקחת טוקטוק, נסיעה של כחצי שעה.
זה לא בהכרח שלילי, רק צריך לדעת.
אפשר גם ללכת קצת לאורך החוף ויש עוד כמה מסעדות.
מאוד מתאים למי שמחפש שלווה.
