Important information:

The Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa has a solar heated outdoor pool. During the winter months this is closed but guests are welcome to use the indoor pool sauna and mini gym in the Suncliff Hotel which is directly next door. Please note that restricted opening hours and age limitations apply for the outdoor pools.

If dinner is not requested upon booking then there will be an extra charge in addition to the stated amount.

Please note that onsite parking is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis and chargeable at £12.00 per car per night. Street parking on the seafront is available via pay and display machines. It is not possible to reserve parking prior to arrival.

Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by Central Reservations. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.

For all payments made and booking types the card holder must be present on check in and the same card must be presented for a security swipe via chip and pin on arrival, failure to provide the same card will result in the payment being refunded to the original card and an alternative payment method requested before check in will be permitted. The property reserves the right to charge bookings in full up to 48 hours prior to arrival during weekends and peak times regardless of reservation policies.

Please note only one small dog (under 10 Kg) is allowed per room, at an extra fee of GBP 20 per night. Please note dogs are not allowed in the common areas, with the exception of guide dogs. Please note that cats or any other type of pets cannot be accommodated at this property.

At least one guest per room must be over 18 years of age, minors are not permitted in their own accommodations without prior consent of the hotel.

Please ensure the correct occupancies are selected on booking, failure to do so may result in your check in being refused. Identification will be required for age verification purposes.

All bookings of 6 or more rooms booked together will be treated as group bookings as per Oceana Hotels’ policy. Group bookings will be contacted within 7 days of making the reservation and will be treated as advance purchase bookings. The full nonrefundable payment will be required within 7 days of the reservation being made, no cancelations, modifications or refunds will be permitted for any group bookings. These group terms and conditions override any rate policy that has been booked. In case of payments not received within 7 days of the booking being made, the Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking without any liability or further communication.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Staff hard to understand their English, no pool in hotel was in hotel next door and full of children having swimming lessons ,and oisiders ,(wouldn't have booked this hotel would I have known this prior to stay )
The mattress in my room smelt,behind bedside drawers not clean,thr hotel itself was nice and clean ,landing in second floor way too hot .
Im sorry but unlikely yo stay here again

Excellent value, clean rooms, friendly staff.

Cons:

Parking cost £12 and was only until 1 hour after checkout (despite us arriving late). Also no gluten free or vegan pizza option.

The staff were helpful and the bar area was modern and clean.

Cons:

There was no hot water for the two days we were staying, we did inform the staff and they said it was being looked into, but no resolution, and my partner was ill at the time too and we had been travelling a lot, so a hot shower was needed. The room was unbearably hot but the radiators wouldn’t turn off and the windows would not stay open, just drop shut. I sent a message via their website, no reply for 2 weeks, I then emailed their sales team and they forwarded my complaint onto the hotel manager. I have had no response in more than 2 weeks.

Pros:

The location was brilliant, the rooms were a great size with great facilities for the price. We made use of the sauna and pool, which was lovely.

Cons:

On arrival, we could not get into our room and staff were quite busy, however, eventually somebody was able to reset the door.
Electricity was faulty when we first arrived, but this was dealt with whilst we were out.

Was ok I have had better. The rooms need an overhaul and maintenance need to sort out plumbing .
Pros:

The room was end of hotel on first floor . It was noisy in middle of night I was woken up on numerous occasions by voices , doors opening closing by inconsiderate people .
The room was small.
I wanted to use the bath but the water had debris coming out of tap so I couldn’t do that . I resulted in strip wash at sink.

I ate out every day and at my work.

The staff were nice help was offered with my bags to my room 119.

Leaving today I doubt I would come back or recommend .

The location was good not far to college and views of the sea .

Parking was ok but better if free.

The debris in the running water. The noise from other guests in mid night .

Great value, but rather past best before date. Does the job for a one night stay
Pros:

Very tired but a good location, pleasant staff, very good value for money

Cons:

Tired. The room had stained floor, limited curtains, patches on wall etc - BUT I paid £36 for a night (mid week, off season), greeted by pleasant staff, clean, safe environment so you really can’t complain!

Fine for a night away, like many seafront hotels in need of updating.
Pros:

Location was good and one member of staff tried really hard to resolve the issues with the room. Clean and beds were comfortable.

Cons:

Had to request a kettle, remote control and plug for bath when we got to room. Parking on the hotel carpark was additional £12 per day. TV coverage was intermittent due to aerial issues / bad weather, so no TV for the evening we stayed there.
