The Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa has a solar heated outdoor pool. During the winter months this is closed but guests are welcome to use the indoor pool sauna and mini gym in the Suncliff Hotel which is directly next door. Please note that restricted opening hours and age limitations apply for the outdoor pools.
If dinner is not requested upon booking then there will be an extra charge in addition to the stated amount.
Please note that onsite parking is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis and chargeable at £12.00 per car per night. Street parking on the seafront is available via pay and display machines. It is not possible to reserve parking prior to arrival.
Any type of extra bed or child's cot/crib is upon request and needs to be confirmed by Central Reservations. Supplements are not calculated automatically in the total costs and will have to be paid for separately during your stay.
For all payments made and booking types the card holder must be present on check in and the same card must be presented for a security swipe via chip and pin on arrival, failure to provide the same card will result in the payment being refunded to the original card and an alternative payment method requested before check in will be permitted. The property reserves the right to charge bookings in full up to 48 hours prior to arrival during weekends and peak times regardless of reservation policies.
Please note only one small dog (under 10 Kg) is allowed per room, at an extra fee of GBP 20 per night. Please note dogs are not allowed in the common areas, with the exception of guide dogs. Please note that cats or any other type of pets cannot be accommodated at this property.
At least one guest per room must be over 18 years of age, minors are not permitted in their own accommodations without prior consent of the hotel.
Please ensure the correct occupancies are selected on booking, failure to do so may result in your check in being refused. Identification will be required for age verification purposes.
All bookings of 6 or more rooms booked together will be treated as group bookings as per Oceana Hotels’ policy. Group bookings will be contacted within 7 days of making the reservation and will be treated as advance purchase bookings. The full nonrefundable payment will be required within 7 days of the reservation being made, no cancelations, modifications or refunds will be permitted for any group bookings. These group terms and conditions override any rate policy that has been booked. In case of payments not received within 7 days of the booking being made, the Hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking without any liability or further communication.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Attentive and friendly staff who went out of their way to rectify error of communication of request for a twin bed booking .
We asked on initial booking, and telephoned to confirm on day our request for twin beds. We had to ask staff to change bed from a king to twin on arrival as it had not been communicated.
The decor was dark grey in corridors, tired and chipped paint noticeably throughout property.
We understand it is low season- client facing staff was only one person having to attend reception and bar/ cafe.
We did not feel inclined to have a meal in an empty dining area, putting more pressure on skeleton staff.
The outside pool was full of rubbish- being emptied day 2.

Door to hotel room didnt close properly and shower was bad due very low pressure of water and cold also the housekeeping didnt collect card for breakfast booking so missed breakfast on one day and second day was late

The room was spacious. A good selection of breakfast options available. Staff were helpful and corrected issues promptly.
Curtains were very difficult to open and close and could really do with updating. Some areas on the floor were very springy or had stains. The head board on the master bed in the room could have been dusted as there was a layer of dust just sitting on it and one of the reading lights wasn't working at all.
The staff were very friendly towards me, they did offer to put a ready meal in the microwave for me. Also the food was very nice
I didn't like the fact it didn't have a swimming pool but could use next doors one
The sea view from the hotel room was stunning, especially watching the fireworks on New Years eve, over Bournemouth pier....

The hotel is on the seafront, so a good location if the weather is nice.
The room was unclean, the beds were uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin. We couldn’t sleep well both nights of our stay due to the creaking of floorboards and able to hear other rooms. The room was also really warm.
The staff are great, polite and well mannered. Breakfast was really nice.
The hotel is quite dirty. Our bathroom floor wasn't clean, some black hairs in a few places and dusty too. Breakfast area has horizontal blinds and these are filthy. Our double bed was 2 singles pushed together and we've seen this plenty of times before but they were different heights and was uncomfortable. Pool was not usable, we expected this but it can still be maintained like others we walked past
The location
The staff were rude and unhelpful.
The room was a state! Drawers were broken and didn’t open, the blind was broken and would not shut. The bathroom door was off the hinges and would not close. Cracks in bathroom and bath did not work.
Called hotel reception during the evening to make them aware a their response was “there’s nothing we can do about it. Complain again in the morning and we can speak to maintenance”

Large rooms. Clean.
Hotel far too hot no air conditioning we turned the radiator off but still too hot. Very noisy as we where above the paty room, and next to the kitchen very loud extractor fan that woke us at 7.15 in the morning.
