Sundown Lake Hotel & Spa

Vi boede her i 7 nætter og brugte stedet som vores base i mellem alle de oplevelser der ligger tæt på. Vi elskede at vi kunne “komme hjem” efter vores dagsture og hoppe i den skønne pool. Det var perfekt for os at kunne sidde i vores egen hytte og stadig se ungerne i poolen.
Vi besøgte bl.a Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla, Rigitala og Hiriwadunna mens vi boede her. Fanastiske steder. Hotellet hjalp os med Safari og village-tour i Hiriwadunna.
Personalet er meget søde og hjælpsomme og de aftener vi spiste på hotellet fik vi den lækreste rice & curry. De andre aftener spiste vi på Lake House Kitchen som ligger meget tæt på og som bestemt er et besøg værd. Hotellet laver en fantastisk lokal morgenmad.
Badeværelset er åbent ud til naturen, og kun delvist overdækket, så der er mulighed for bad under åben himmel hvilket er en super oplevelse. Det betyder også at der engang i mellem kommer nysgerrige aber og siger hej.
Hytten har gode senge og en hems. Den er simpel, men funktionel. Man skal kunne leve med at der render lidt smådyr rundt.

サファリができる場所から10分程度、シギリアロックから30分程度なため、それらの観光地に行くには、とてもアクセスがいいです。オーナーさんと、ワッツアップでやり取りでき、宿泊前からとても親切でした。夕日が湖に沈む様子が見られました。プールが気持ちよかったです。3つのコテージが並ぶ、素敵な写真が撮れました。

The lovely married couple who manage the place are just delightful.
Saseeni (apologies if I’ve spelt it incorrectly) is the greatest cook, we had the most fabulous breakfasts & dinners-absolutely the best food we had in our 3.5 weeks in Sri Lanka! Her mum taught her very well!
The infinity pool is lovely with great views over the lake & a perfect temperature. It looks especially beautiful at night all lit up.
We enjoyed having a shower outside, private but with some occasional cheeky monkeys for company 😊
Sunset 🌅 view over the lake and also a view over to Sigiriya & Pidurutalagala Rocks if you walk a short distance up the hill past the water tank.
We had to get to Habarana station for our train back to Colombo and we were treated to a complimentary ride in a safari jeep-thank you so much!

Quirky room with beautiful views! Delicious home cooked breakfasts and dinner. Friendly, lovely team looked after us from the moment we arrived.

My absolute favorite of all hotels in the Habarana / Sigiriya area, small and exquisite with an exceptionally friendly, helpful and competent staff led by Sassini. 🌸

This place is a rare find !
Very newly built and the accommodation is so comfy with fun features like the outside bathroom.
Three of us stayed in one lodge and that was really fine.
The beds were super comfy .
The pool overlooking the lake is stunning.
We spent quite a bit of time just hanging out at the hotel as it was so nice.
The staff are exceptional and made us an amazing curry one night with so many dishes .
The breakfast was different every morning and so much fab food .
There is also a great restaurant 5 mins walk away with western options.

La proprietaria è una ragazza giovane e volenterosa, nonché una cuoca provetta! Le colazioni erano anche super! Io non mangio aglio e si è prodigata di farci entrambe le cene senza aglio!
Alla sera , dopo le varie escursioni, tornate in hotel e non uscite più da qui! Rilassatevi tra la piscina e il patio con la vista mozzafiato! E godetevi la cena in questo paradiso

The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Beautiful lodge and scenery looking over the lake. The breakfasts were freshly cooked every morning and were fantastic. We don’t normally eat in hotels for dinner however we had dinner here on our last evening and the food was absolutely sensational, you must eat here if you stay!

Pool & Frühstück

Een heerlijke plek om te verblijven. De kamer was schoon en comfortabel, en het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De locatie is ook uitstekend gelegen voor wie de omgeving wil verkennen. Mooie sunset vanuit het zwembad. Alles was simpelweg heel goed!

Amazing location with great views. The staff was really kind and the host is a great chef in the kitchen. It was new years eve and the staff of the property organized a mindblowing firework for us. It could not be better. We had 2 great nights with them.

Lovely peaceful accommodation. Great hosts, delicious breakfast. Short easy walk into Habarana for local restaurants and supermarket and the pool was refreshing. Amazing restaurant (lake house kitchen) just down the street.
