Nice lodge in remote valley, but prepare and plan ahead.
Pros:

The lodge location in a remote valley makes it ideal to disconnect and relax for a few days, and it was relatively close to the Trail of 100 Giants.

WiFi in the lodge was surprisingly good.

Cons:

Check-in procedure was rough:
We did not receive the code to unlock the door beforehand, and as there is no cell reception in the valley, had to be saved by a neighbor who shared their WiFi with us so that we could contact the property. A couple arriving after us had similar issues, where the lock battery was not functioning anymore. If you stay here, make sure you get the WiFi pass and door code beforehand.

Limited shops and food options:
To be expected in a remote village, but good to keep in mind when planning to visit for multiple days.

Distance to Sequoia Park:
It’s still 2.5h driving to Sequoia National Park, as this lodge is located close to the Sequoia Forest, not the park.

One small thing in our room:
The switch for the ceiling fan (great for summer) also turns on the ceiling light simultaneously (not great for sleeping). As there is no additional AC, it can get warm during the night.
