Important information:

Please note that children aged between 4 and 16 years can only access the spa and pool facilities between 07.00 and 09.00 in the morning and 16.30 to 18.00 in the afternoon. Unfortunately children under the age of 4 years of age are not permitted to use the spa or pool facilities at any time.

There is capacity for extra beds in some rooms, charges may apply.

Pets are only permitted in some rooms on request, please contact the hotel directly prior to arrival for more information. Charges are applicable.

There is a charge of GBP 25.00 per person, per day for guests wishing to use the Elan Spa facilities (treatments not included). This will be valid for use between the stated arrival time of 15:00 and departure time of 11:00. Must be booked in advance and will be subject to availability.

Pleasant stay but given price more flexibility needed on breakfast and checkout
Pros:

Very nice antique decor recently refurbished and nice comfortable room.

Cons:

Breakfast has a hard stop at 10am which is quite early for the weekend. 11am checkout is a bit early too. Some dog hair on chair in room.

Fabulous place
Pros:

The location was good, the hotel is beautiful and the staff are exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone smiled.
Food was AMAZING. Absolutely faultless.

One of the best UK trips I’ve had, brilliant!
Pros:

The property was stunning and, provided you have a car, in location to go to Gloucester/Cheltenham and the Cotswolds. The room itself was also very spacious and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and really went the extra mile. Will be recommending this to any of my friends and family.

Pros:

The rooms were wonderful—clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. I hope the staff receive a fair salary for keeping the rooms in such perfect condition. The breakfast was excellent, and the spa was delightful.

Cons:

However, I do have a concern for the duty manager. We called about 25 times, We went out to McDonald’s for some food and when we returned, the hotel doors were closed.
There was a notice on the door with a number to call for assistance. We waited outside for half an hour and were already considering finding another hotel because it seemed no one would answer.

Would it be possible to implement a special phone line that can be heard at the reception, or have a night porter available? This is a matter for the managing team, as organization during the night is expected in a 4-star hotel.

Thank you to the person who finally answered the call after we had been waiting outside for half an hour. Unfortunately, this did slightly affect our overall experience, especially on my birthday.
