Modern En-Suite Rooms by Finsbury Park Station 8 mins to King's Cross by Tube

We contacted the accommodation through the Booking.com messaging system before our arrival, but we did not receive any response. Please see the screenshot below as evidence.

As our check-in time approached and we had still not received the necessary check-in information, we called the accommodation. Our first call went unanswered. We then called again, and the host answered. Please see the relevant screenshots below.

During this phone conversation, the host explicitly told us that the previous guests had not checked out, that they were still occupying the room, and that he was unable to remove them. He apologised and explained that he had no other rooms available for us.

He then told us that he would refund us because we would not be able to stay at the property. However, instead of cancelling the booking himself, he asked me to look for the "free cancellation" option on Booking.com and submit the cancellation myself so that I could receive a refund.

This immediately appeared inappropriate, as the cancellation was entirely due to the accommodation's inability to provide the room we had booked. I informed him that, since he was the one cancelling our stay, he should process the cancellation himself. Unfortunately, this was never done, which is why we contacted Booking.com for assistance and we are still waiting a response. No money has been refunded to us.

I did not like having to share the kitchen, the other people using the kitchen did not tidy up after themselves and did not wash their dishes, there isn't a regular cleaner there so you either eat somewhere dirty or you clean up after others, meat chunks and egg shells left in the sink :-( The non stick pans were very worn and had big patches were the teflon had scratched off so didn't use those.
The was one fork in the cutlery drawer which wasn't much help when you are a family of 4, wanting to cook. So I went out to buy my own forks that same day. This was raised with the landlord and he did bring forks the next day.
The washing machine was left with the apartment sheets in for over a day so you couldn't use that if needed, plus it makes the laundry smell stale.
Tea and coffee facilities was a kettle in the kitchen and nothing in the bedroom as I'd hoped.
There isn't any street parking nearby but then again that's London.
One of the guests using the front room, opened his curtains with no clothes on and my 14 year old daughter saw this as she was waiting for me out the front while I got the car.

It wasn’t super clean. We arrived at 2, upon arrival we received a phone call from the host that the cleaner had not been yet so we could drop out bags into the room and then come back at 3. when arriving back at the room later on it seemed like the only difference was that the bed was made and rubbish taken out. The bedding didn’t seem fresh. Only one of the towels was replaced and the other was still in a pile on the desk as it had been used by the previous occupant. My friend plugged her phone charger in to the wall when we got in and upon later arrival the plugs and cable had been removed from the room. Bathroom was quite grubby.

On these hot days, a refrigerator for water and soft drinks would be perfect.

Everything. bed wasn’t good, toilet wasn’t clean, no good ventilation.

Обходьте стороною цей обʼєкт, там безкоштовно небезпечно залишатися навіть на 1 ніч, там все огидно брудне, взагалі не прибирається нічого, постіль в різних кольорах бруду і крові, в великих плямах і дірках, те ж саме з рушниками. На підлозі ковролін теж весь в пʼятнах брудних. Постіль та рушники виглядають гірше ніж ганчірки старі. Зверху на простирадлах волосся багато. Всі вікна жалив брудні і не відчиняються. Спека неймовірна. Кондиціонера нема. Один вентилятор який лише настільний брудний та дує вам в обличчя коли ви на ліжку, від чого в мене і в дітей зʼявилась температура та кашель і нежить. Телевізору нема. Пилі та павутиння дуже багато , на кожному кроці. Душова кімната також взагалі не прибрана була, унітаз навіть в рештках гівна був. Там повна антисанітарія. Окрім того до метро хвилин 20 йти. Поруч магазинів нема. Кухня загальна і в жахливому стані, жодної виделки там не знайдете , і мікрохвильовка не придана для використання. Там навіть стільці та стіл настільки брудні, що за них неможливо сісти.

It was filthy. The shower tiles , shower screen, bathmat hadn't been washed. The carpet was filthy. The doors had some dubious looking substances on and the walls were covered in marks, hand prints and prints from other body parts too. Liquid spills on the wall. I was embarrassed to take my son there. Yes it wasn't expensive but I thought booking.com had some sort of regulations. To be welcomed by an overflowing stinking bin and fag butts on the stairs wasn't what I expected. I have more photos
