The Silk Boutique Hotel & Spa - Old Quarter City Center

The room was very old. It smelled very strange. There was a lot of humidity in the room. There was an indent on the floor of the room.

Einmal Roomservice ausgefallen (weil ich vielleicht zu lange im Zimmer verweilte), aber die anschließende Bitte auf das Auffüllen der Minibar (passend bestückt!) wurde vergessen.

The breakfast area is a little tight.

Είναι παλιό το κτίριο. Τα ηχεία από το δρόμο που έπαιζαν εμβατήρια στο αφτί σου κυριολεκτικά και σε ξυπνούσαν από τις 6 το πρωί . Ζητήστε δωμάτιο από την πίσω πλευρά. Μπορεί να μη βλέπετε σχεδόν τίποτα παρά στέγες αλλά τουλάχιστον δεν θα ξυπνάτε με τους ήχους.

There was a loud speaker outside our room that played a 40 min message at 7am

This hotel is filthy. We arrived early in the morning so we had arranged to leave our bags at the property. This was the first red flag, the reception is not as it appears in the photos they have put a few dining tables in the reception where they serve "breakfast". We left our bags in the hallway and got changed in the toilet behind reception, red flag number 2, the toilet was disgusting. They then asked us to pay for the room before checking in. When we got to the room later in the day our hearts sank. Water leaking in the bathroom plug sockets hanging off the wall. The pillows felt like they were filled with cotton wool balls. Carpet was filthy furniture worn, dirty and falling apart door lock taped up with electrical tape. Everything about this hotel is disgusting please avoid at all costs. We had to change hotels after the first day and lost our money. You would expect better from a one star Blackpool b&b from the 1970s.

SUPER misleading. This is NOT a 4-star hotel. Photos nothing like the ones online. The room was the most humid room I've ever been in. Mould on the walls, leaky shower, bad damp smell. Didn't feel clean the whole time I was there. Do not fall for the positive reviews, they cannot be legit given the state of this place. Most lights didn't work in the room. Windows barely opened to let in less humid air.

Also received a phishing attempt via WhatsApp to confirm or lose the booking. Mentioning this as I saw it in another review. Do not click on the link! Unsure if this is a Booking.com breach or a breach of the hotel.

Room safe used a key rather than an electronic lock.

Unfortunately, the rooms are very old and do not look like the pictures shown online. There was a lot of noise coming from the hallway, which made it difficult to relax. We could also hear rats in the ceiling, which was very disturbing. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel in its current condition. The breakfast was average at best. Overall, there is a lot of false advertising and the property does not meet expectations.

Bien loin de l’esthétique de la chambre par rapport à d’autres hôtels beaucoup moins chers ailleurs et très bien situé également.la chambre faisait vieillotte et mériterait un bon rafraîchissement (lampe de chevet qui ne marche pas,télévision abîmée,les murs tachés et abîmés,parquet abîmé.enfin bref la plus mauvaise chambre de nos 5semaines de vacances.je n’aime pas critiquer mais là j’étais trop déçu.

The accommodation misleadingly advertised a functioning service for which the customer pays (there was no hot water). When the situation was resolved on site, no compensation was provided, and the staff began to lie and give false arguments. I left the accommodation without spending a single night there. I have not received my money back yet and am dealing with the matter legally. I do not recommend anyone to stay there.
