Great location, great value on the Black Friday deal we got, but rooms need a joosh up.
Pros:

Location and spa on site
Spa experience we had was amazing
The breakfast had greatly improved since last time I stayed

Cons:

Our twin room was 2 single beds right next to each other (good job my friend and I have a sense of humour!)
The room was very dated and needed a freshen up
We were at the back of the hotel, so no view (we did have the option to pay for this)

Pros:

The hotel is in a beautiful location

Cons:

I was in room 204. The room itself was lovely, however the bed was awful. It was like sleeping on a stone slab. In hindsight I wish I had complained instead of putting up with it.

The Balanced Stay and Natural Retreat
Pros:

Almost a perfect stay. We specifically looked for a location outside the city, and the surrounding greenery, trees, and golf course provided exactly the peaceful atmosphere we wanted. The spa and pool facilities are extensive and well-maintained. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a very wide range of fresh pastries, fruits, and cooked options.

Cons:

A practical note on the rooms: they are not the most modern, and being situated in a more natural, 'jungle-like' setting, the cleanliness wasn't quite five-star. However, if you adjust your expectations to the style of the building and its location, it’s a very relaxing choice.

Pros:

The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed.

Cons:

We requested when we originally booked 8months prior to have an accessible apartment, but this was not actioned by staff at the time. This made it difficult for me and my husband trying to get up and down the spiral stair case due to our medical condition.

It was awesome, we enjoyed the facilities and the surroundings.
Pros:

The spa was good, the gardens were beautiful, the decor and the history of the house adds to the stay.

Cons:

Upkeep of the property would make it even better, it does not take away from the beauty of the place. Fire alarm went off after midnight, other then that no issues

Lovely building and grounds, but very tired in places.
Pros:

Breakfast was good and plenty of choice. Nice grounds. Elise was the wedding co-ordinator and was extremely helpful on the few occasions I asked for her assistance.

Cons:

Room was very tired and looks like there had been a previous leak in the room, as lots of paint blistering on ceiling and watermarks on bedroom walls. Key card kept failing which resulted in going up and down to reception. Spa area needs green algae removing of walls and floors from mens changing room to swimming pool. The hotel, generally appeared to be understaffed. Also, members of our party paid a fraction of the price that we paid, for a similar room. Almost a £100 saving per night to what we paid.

Charles room . Quite Lavish.
Pros:

The upgraded room was lovely.
The check in staff were fantastic.
The restaurant staff helped put things right. When the food wasn't hot enough.
The choice of breakfasts.

Cons:

The grounds and some of the hotel are looking tired and in need of maintenance.
Curtains and carpets were stained and threadbare in places.
The footbaths in the leisure area .are still not fixed. Also broken tiles by jacuzzi.and in the swimming pool.one of the grids on the floor of the pool protruded slightly could hurt foot on it

The shower tray in our lovely room drained very slowly, and flooded over onto the remainder of the floor. Also one of the sinks was cracked.

The cooked breakfast, especially the sausage and bacon, is not good quality.

Would stay again!
Pros:

Beautiful setting and staff were so welcoming! Gorgeous old style bathrooms! Breakfast was lovely each morning with lots of options.

Cons:

The changing rooms at the spa were a bit dated, but very functional and clean.

Beautiful location and grounds but spa not so nice
Pros:

The location of hotel is stunning with beautiful grounds. Sarah and Bilal at reception were very helpful , we had 2 interconnecting rooms on ground floor adding to ease of walking for my mum
We were close to reception and restaurants/ bar and had beautiful views of the grounds. For ease car park was also close by. Breakfast was included and there was a good variety of traditional English breakfast and continental. The location of hotel is perfect for visit to Stratford town. We have stayed before but hotel was under different hotel group.

Cons:

One of reasons we went was the spa but this was huge disappointment, half facilities were not working, it was tired and needs complete refurbishment. Staff were not very helpful. The hotel itself is looking tired, probably needs a refurbishment too but totally understand restrictions with listed building and of course for us limited facilities for mobility restrictions but really appreciated the locations of rooms and use of wheelchair during our stay.

Overall great location and value for money
Pros:

This was our second stay here- the location is great for a nice walk into Stratford or you can walk the other way to a lovely farm shop. Breakfast was fantastic, all the pastries you could ask for! Staff were wonderful and the pool/ spa area had improved since our last visit. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and vitality pool.

Cons:

Our room was at the back of the hotel and we got woken each morning at around 5am by loud beeping of vehicles reversing and being unloaded. The bed comprised two singles which should have been clipped together to create a king, however the connector was broken so not only did they keep coming apart the beds were slightly different heights and we kept falling down the middle! The cold water tap in the bathroom ran hot water so we used bottled to drink/ for the kettle.
