I can not stress enough that the photos provided on booking.com are not a true representation of the apartment. These were probably taken several years ago. As soon as you walk through the door, there is a pungent smell of damp. The room we stayed in had initially no working shower. This was fixed the day after arrival, but I lost 3 hours of my time due to constant contact and awaiting maintenance. We did not have all facilities as stated but luckily obtained them from other rooms thanks to the cleaner. The towels were dingy and discoloured. The shower wasn't much more than a trickle and extraction was not working....having no windows in the bathroom this was definitely unacceptable with 3 guests staying in the room and sharing each others toilet habits. We were constantly waking at night because of the damp smell and we all now have bad chests and runny noses. There was only one small window in the apartment that we were able to open. The bedding is completely unacceptable with stained pillows and quilts. Lucky we didn't check them and only noticed at the end of our stay when stripping the beds upon leaving. This apartment wants shutting down and completely renewing from top to bottom. Definitely would not stay here again.

It said over 21 years I believe groups under 21 was there lots of noise and disruption

First room oven was broke didn't work at all ....no heater in any room at all and had had snow and low temperature weather ...so we phoned up and complained ..owner said he was aware the oven was broke as he'd been told that morning so offered to move us to room 7 which was larger ....but when we got in there 2 of the radiators barely got warm on highest setting and we was freezing cold as someone who suffers with raynauds this was a big deal for me as spent the whole time in pain ....we were staying for 2 nights 3 days and the tv didn't work at all either ....so wasn't happy at all we didn't go out the whole stay as was too cold miserable and tired

Not being allowed access

The SMELL awful smell in the corridors it really got on your chest & opening the door to your room you had to do it quick so the smell won't come in the room .....musty smell in the whole apartment but not as bad as corridor.....damp towels , damp bedding even the toilet rolls were damp & the sugar I bought turned damp in the packet ??? Shower needs fixing 😩

That the oven didn't work and the fuse for water heater was turned off

We were woken the 1st night by someone banging on the front door from 1am and went on all night, also banged on our window. 2nd night we were woken at 2am by someone banging on the front door and shouting "open the f***ING door and let me f***ING in, the person who they were obviously shouting for went to the front door at 4am, bangef on our window as he left and returned at 6.30am. The 2nd day 2 police riot vans turned up and I overheard the police say they'd found a knife under the bed. THERE ARE NO SAFETY CHAINS ON THE DOOR. Safe to say myself and my 2 children did not feel safe or secure in the ground floor apartment. The last night we were AGAIN woken up at 2am by someone banging on the front door. Thankfully we had only booked 3 nights. I complained to the owner and he offered me £70 compensation, I said that's not much compensation for 3 terrible nights of no sleep and feeling scared. He said it was an isolated incident but I fail to believe that is the case as EVERY night we were disturbed.
