- No smoking! Penalty for smoking inside the property and closer than 33 ft from the building entrance - 100 EUR.
- Pets are allowed in Superior, Deluxe and Suite rooms. Pets are not allowed in Budget, Standard and Double or Twin rooms.
- Check-in is from 15:00. Earlier check-in can be requested for additional fee 20 EUR. It should be requested at least 24 hours before the arrival time.

Gulēt nebija iespējams, visi trokšņi ļoti dzirdami. Brokastis bija ēdamas, bet ne labas.
Good location. Though we did not know it at the time, this hotel is quite close to the central railway station and to a mall (the mall surrounds the railway station). It’s possible to walk to the hotel from the railway station if the weather is good and your baggage is not too heavy. It helps if you arrive in the daytime!
Heated bathroom floor. This was good.
Dim lighting can’t cover up that this property is very tired and needs updating.
The pathway from the gate to the entrance was partially plowed - there was still a layer of ice to manoeuvre around with our baggage. This is the first time I’ve been at a hotel without a reception - it felt weird but in the end it worked ok with all the instructions provided to gain access.
The mattress was awful - could feel the coil springs. The sheet was pulled over the mattress but didn’t fit. The sheer curtain was worn out to the point of being torn. It looked as if it hadn’t been washed in a decade. The wallpaper was coated in dust. The bathroom had poor lighting … not a good place to shave!
For breakfast we had instructions to go to the first floor. We got there to find a corporate meeting underway and no signs of breakfast. We went down to the reception area and met a lady who told us that we had to go outdoors to a nearby cafe to get breakfast. This being winter it meant changing into warm clothes (it was -7 deg C outside) and locating the cafe (fortunately nearby). The breakfast there was good.
The next morning we got dressed and went to the cafe, only to be told that they were not expecting us. So back we went to the hotel and lo and behold, breakfast was served on the first floor. The breakfast itself was not bad, but the experience of finding it was not good. Clearly there are communication issues there.
Outside the elevator on the first floor there are furniture pieces stashed … we couldn’t exit the elevator on that floor during our stay — we had to go down to the ground level and walk up the stairs. Dim lighting didn’t help.
Photos attached show the mattress, sheer curtain, dusty wallpaper and poor bathroom lighting (note the uneven lighting flanking the mirror). The other photo is of the “three brothers” … if you take the walking tour you’ll find out more about them!
The location opposite a beautiful park and close to the old town, rail and bus stations not far make this a comfortable place to reach. Rooms are large with beautiful windows. Our bathroom had under floor heating which was pleasant.
Maybe to start with my room was a little cold, but did warm up. It is a large building to heat.
Good location, lovely decor in the house and room, responsive staff.
