Live like a local and learn more!
Pros:

Umesh and family showed me wonderful hospitality and I could get a taste of local life. He took me swimming and to a farm and had a fire-cooked meal. We even had a small party in evening with his friends. Amazing local knowledge, my favorite experience in Sri Lanka so far. This is the REAL Sri Lanka not the standard well-trodden tourist trail.
