Lovely hotel, great location
Pros:

Stayed for 1 night for a conference. Lovely hotel a short distance from the venue, which suited me well. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. Had a pizza in the lounge, which was amazing!

Hotel needs to put more effort in.
Pros:

Good reception area and bar. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed.

Cons:

Fixtures and fittings in the room were woefully inadequate. No shelf space in the bathroom. Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom. Tiny wardrobe filled with ironing board and fan which had to be taken out before it coulfd be used. Only enough hanging space for one person's clothes. No light on the dressing table. Dressing table mirror too high! No controls on radiator so no control of heating. Breakfast very poor. Fried eggs overcooked. Cold bacon. Deep fried potatoes (can't define what they were supposed to be). Weak tea. Very chilly in the hotel corridors.

All of this results in a very unwelcoming experience. An opportunity missed.

Everything was excellent.
Pros:

A lovely welcoming hotel. Check in excellent Susan does the hotel proud.
Very good menu for refreshments & well priced.
Bar staff so nice nothing was a bother to them.
We have used the hotel before and will use it again.
