Hotel with great ocean views
Pros:

Best hotel from island, Calm, Pool, view, sound of waves in the night and the gentle owner of the hotel: he drove me to a restaurant and shortly for sightseeing’s. There are not many food options, so you can start successfully any diets on this island..

Cons:

Nothing to do with the property, but there’s too much waste on nice beaches.. not around the hotel. Pushy or greeting people (especially children) all over the main smaller town which I personally don’t like much..

Cons:

The nin-existence sense of service of the staff, uncleanliness, inconsistent price between platforms. I ended up paying 50% more on booking.com compared to what I later found on Agoda.

Despite the language barrier, Lysons Island was fantastic! The locals were so welcoming and helpful. Even though they didn't speak much English, they used gestures and their smiles to communicate and make sure we found what we needed.

Cons:

Unfortunately, our taxi experience wasn't ideal. The price we were quoted by the driver at the hotel turned out to be higher than the final fare we paid.

Not bad considering it’s on an island.
Pros:

Great location. Breakfast was pretty good considering it’s main customer base is Vietnamese guests. Lunch was good quality food.

Cons:

We stayed on a Saturday night and when we woke in the morning there wasn’t any power on the island. Motel didn’t have a generator as you would expect in a larger hotel, they did have a small one that only powered the reception.
Travelling with 4 young children in 36degree heat and no AC in the room wasn’t great. It was only for the morning tho. Walking up and down 3 sets of stairs with the kids wasn’t great also as they don’t police guests walking inside the motel after using the swimming pool and not drying off first so the steps were hairy for the kids. The day the lift was working it was consistently flooded with water due to the pool as I stated above. The restaurant wasn’t operating for dinner which was very inconvenient travelling with western children. We were lucky my wife’s family live on the island and found some food the kids would eat. Like I said early the food at lunch time at the motel was great, we ate there Saturday and Sunday.
