Pros:

Beautiful building, incredible pool best location in town the restaurant and staff are fabulous.

Cons:

Some of the pool rules were not enforced like children's toys in the pool, it's a small area and when there were kids it was difficult to use the pool due to balls being thrown about. However, when the pool was quiet it was esquisite and we were lucky that through the majority of our stay we had the pool mostly to ourselves.

Nice stay in a reconstructed colonial house in the very center of white town next to rock beach
Pros:

Location and similarity to colonial house . Breakfast and restaurant on rooftop were nice as well as swimming pool . Fresh room , no need for air conditioning

Cons:

No light in my room , a bit noisy with the busy roads around

A Wonderful Surprise – One of the Best Boutique Hotels in India I know

Palais de Mahe in Pondicherry was an absolute and very pleasant surprise. It is one of the most beautiful boutique hotels we have visited in India so far.The rooms are beautifully designed, very well thought out, and extremely comfortable. The inner courtyard with its pool feels almost European and creates a calm, elegant atmosphere.The food is delicious, everything is spotless, and the staff truly deserve special mention: incredibly kind, professional, and always helpful. You feel genuinely welcome from the very first moment.Thank you so much for the wonderful time in Pondicherry – we will look back on it very fondly.

Lovely property with attentive staff. Definitely recommended!
Pros:

Beautiful property, felt very peaceful and relaxing. The cocktails and food were excellent also. We were on our honeymoon and the hotel staff made sure to make our stay rememberable.

Cons:

One small thing we didn’t like was the water. I believe it’s filtered through a natural system so it had a funny taste. Not sure if this was due to the rains.

Beautiful memories, felt like a different world
Pros:

The property is good, staff were polite, food served was fresh. Service was excellent. The breakfast was very good, especially when the cook was creative.

My daughter left her smartwatch in the hotel, the staff informed us and couriered it back home.

Cons:

Control on mosquitoes in the open areas especially dining and swimming pool.

Overall a pleasant stay.
Pros:

All the staff was very helpful and friendly. Shyam especially went out of his way to be helpful with very personal service.

Cons:

The hotel could do with a little freshening up. Heritage should not mean dated:) The kitchen could definitely do with improvement. The room service we ordered was disappointing - both international and Indian. Breakfast was a little better.
