Good location
The hotel has plenty of character and the old beams are lovely, but unfortunately our room felt very tired and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom in particular was dated and basic, and there were noticeable cleanliness/maintenance issues, including large cobwebs around the beams and light fittings.
The room we were given simply didn’t resemble the standard or appearance we felt was presented in the photographs online. Had we seen accurate photographs of this particular room and bathroom before booking, we would have chosen somewhere else.

Montreuil sur Mer is een niet zo aagename verouderde stad met nog veel op te knappen oude gebouwen. Aanbod van goede restaurants zou beter kunnen. In het algemeen niet aangenaam om er te verblijven en ligt dan ook nog minimaal 40 à 50 km van de meer toeristische plaatsen aan de Somme zodat je telkens een betrekkelijk lange autorit voor de boeg hebt. Daar kan het overigens voortreffelijke hotel niets aan doen natuurlijk.
Beautiful authentic French Hotel and Gourmet restaurant in a lovely town
Loved it all
Beautiful, quirky building right in the middle of this delightful town. Rooms are modern and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was really good and the breakfast room spacious and comfortable.

Lack of cream for coffee facilities
Loved the location of the property and the friendly staff. The quality of the food is some of the best in Northern France. Access to and from the hotel make it an excellent overnight stop. I would also consider a two night stop as the town itself is well worth a longer visit. Breakfast is well organised and offers a wide choice. Dog friendly and people friendly.
As we were only overnighting went for basic rooms which are adequate.

The ‘superior ‘ bedroom we stayed in was disappointing. The bottom of the stairwell leading up to the rooms was very gloomy and depressing with worn out carpets and the room itself was also rather unappealing and in need of a makeover . Certainly not a place where you would want to spend much time ! However the large double bed was very comfortable and the shower was good .
