The Pier Pods on the water- 50m from Townsville bus terminal and ferry terminal- Passport ID requried

My bed was the only bed right under the air con.. if ya held a tissue it blow out of your hand. No way should it be a bed in that spot or you get pneumonia. Luckily was several empty pods so I just took one of those . As mentioned no reception mostly so it’s a bit odd and kinda a free run of the place for everyone. And as others noted no idea of the check in and app or door entry stuff but always others around to open a door it’s big and lots of ppl but clean common areas to handle it

There was no staff at the property to check in or resolve any issues.It took me ages to figure out how to use the codes that I was given. Everything was you had to find for yourself and there was a big French contingency who dominated the whole place and made a lot of noise in the place during the day and despite strict instructions to get to bed by 10 pm there were residents who never respected the privacy and made as much noise as they liked since there were no official staff to monitor the place. There were residents coming in until about 4.00 am in drips and making noise in the pods area so no one who went to bed early could sleep at all.
In the booking I made the description did not meet what was provided. I feel a full refund is due for the awful stay, mosquito bites thoughout my body and complete sleep deprivation from the noise in the place from the French contingency who had no considerations for the other residents and acted as though they owned the place.

The only thing wrong was one of the other guests in my Pod “Natasha” who I believe was not paying to her nights to stay (I’m not too sure if it’s been resolved by reception. But after the house cleaning showed up yesterday she was making threats to and I quote “burn the place down” “and to also drown herself if she doesn’t get her way”. Which is alarming as it puts not only me but the other girls in the female dorm and everyone else at risk regardless of wether or not it was an overwhelming heat of the moment reaction, but Natasha has been repeatedly saying these comments since she first checked in. It’s concerning not only own personal safety but also of the other females now staying with us. And the follow on effect to all staying here. I understand there may have been an issue with someone sharing their personal codes; when she first checked in I did let her in but gave her strict instructions the codes she had been provided had to be used within 24hrs or they’ll expire and to use them asap. I’m not too sure what happened after that as it seemed she had no issues getting in and out. I am aware she spoke to 2 ofther guests who checked out yesterday but I’m unaware if they shared their codes with Natasha. I have not yet been able to warnn our two new guests not to share their personal codes as it’s so late, but if there if anything I can do to help or assist please let me know,

There seemed to be no receptionist most of the time meaning a lot of people had to try and figure out how to check in via the tablet
