This hotel was not so good after all it took 20min to check me in after asking a tons of useless questions by the guy in the reception and when I entered the room the bed was not made plus they charged me 15$ more then what it was written on the reservation they say its for taxes the room was good and the location write on the beach but if i visit hulumale another time i would chose a different hotel.

Nice friendly staff, not a good place to stay for comfort! Bed was really uncomfortable. After a really tiring long flight, I was unable to get a good night sleep on the extremely uncomfortable bed.

Stayed there a night on transit to my final destination, was OK. The room has great view of the sea and can see the sunrise and a great horizon view.

The pick up from the airport took a long time though, strongly recommend you to insist the staff pick you up based on your arrival time. They told me I can call them after I reached, it'll be 10-15mins they'll pick us up, didn't happened. In the end waited for good 40mins.

Bring mosquitoes repellent - you will need it, the breakfast area is infested with mosquitoes. The staff says its due to the rain past few days, but I won't take chances.

You get what you pay. We had our room on last floor facing the ocean. Friendly staff and very helpful.

The service was really nice and transfer to and from the airport very easy.
The room needs TLC, it's very small and run down, there were ants in the room. The shower needs a good clean and there is a lot of rust. But the friendliness of the staff makes up for the standard and cleaningness of the room. Recommend for a short stay.

Was okay for what we paid for. Didn't expect to be wowed but loud noise at certain periods at night coming from the kitchen disturbed my sleep. The hotel is okay if you are stopping over for the night. The beach is right outside the hotel and there is a place next door for water activities. Not much variety for breakfast. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Ask for ocean view window.

Not really good hotel ... Staff need trainning hard

I spent one night at the Fern and enjoyed myself. The atmosphere of the island on which the inn is located is more relaxed than that of Male's, but conversly, there is much less happening on the Hulhulmale. I appreciated that the kitchen was open until midnight, and the spicy Maldivian fish soup I had was excellent. In the morning, the free breakfast buffet was a bit sparse, but what was there was well prepared. In regards to the beach, it is certainly not as well groomed as many of the resorts, but it provided a beautiful view on wake up and an easy place to swim, just across the street from the hotel. I would recommend the Fern for business travellers to Male looking for a cheaper option, with access to the beach, or budget vaction travellers. There was a water sports venue next to the hotel and the hotel itself offered connections to water sports adventures.

But you can't find any activities during your stay
You must go to other islands and back for sleep to Hulumale

we booked double bed but gave us 2 single bed and combined it together. really bad image.
2nd issue is, taxi cost from airport to hotel cost USD 10 but from hotel to Airport cost USD 3 only.
only i would rate their good is the services, always try to the best to helps us. staff is friendly.

Very unsaticefy wan' t use it again

Well situated hotel handy for ocean and local transport. Staff were great, very accommodating and hotel was clean, comfortable and food was excellent.

Hotel's free airport transfer service was very convenient. Beach is just two steps away from the hotel and isn't crowded at all. They have free wifi, which is fast and stable, and free breakfast which is ok. Room was less fancy than it looks on photos but I still enjoyed my stay. The only problem was very thin walls so I could hear everything (people talking,walking, noises from kitchen etc). However for such low price it's all fine.

Good stay for layover in Male but not for too long. Staff are very helpful. Hotel condition and good is so so. Btw always don't have hot water.

It's a good choice for a short stop b4 u're heading to the islands!

The hotel was ok.. There was no locks to the balcony doors and when we asked for resolve it, they said it is safe and no need to worry and since we had no option we had to live with it.. Also please avoid any excursions/resort bookings arranged by hotel as they quote 50% more than the actual price.. When asked for the same, the staff members say that since the price has been already agreed we cannot help. The excursion manager also take money for water sports and entertain you with very little rides. Very disappointing experience.

Hotel is right by the sea. Get a sea view room if you can. Good wifi. Room is clean and good in size. The roof top restaurant is good, food menu is extensive and price is reasonable.

Food was terrible and need to improve the staff skills.
