Decent little room but nothing as advertised
central heating was off so had an electric heater instead, no food on site apart from a burger van, was hoping for some british pub food but settled for dominos instead
In a lovely village setting.

A great stop over for a night. A warm welcome from the staff at the bar and a cosy fire and a drink settled us in. The room was clean and had all we needed (extra heater if it was too cold at night). Providing robes and slippers was a nice touch and was appreciated.
They now provide a breakfast bag as there is nowhere to eat nearby that we could see. This was fine as we weren’t expecting to have anything until we’d stopped off somewhere.
Nothing really. It’s more of a motel set up with chalet style rooms. Decor a little tired but clean and tidy and we had a great night’s sleep.
We were made very welcome when we arrived, and also in the pub, which is part of the hotel.
There are self contained ensuite rooms behind it, which are very clean, warm, and the bed is very comfortable.

Not having a shower in the bathroom and only 2 tea bags for an overnight stay.

The owner was very friendly and welcoming, the room lovely and the bed very comfortable.
Its also in a good location if you're going to a concert at Audley End House.
Our room didn't have a shower and only had a bath.

The room was ground level with no stairs to climb. I was made very welcome when I arrived at the Yew Tree.
The shower was fine but a door on the shower enclosure would be better than a shower curtain as they become static. There were some scuff marks on the shower tray, otherwise the room was fine.
Property was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable.
More plug sockets would be useful
The rooms were super private and clean, the service from the manager and all of the team was super friendly and attentive, it made the stay really enjoyable - the manager even let us borrow his umbrella to walk to a nearby wedding!

Squeaky, saggy bed. No shower caps despite a 'rainfall' type shower, awkward positioning of toilet roll, very rusty toiletry holder in shower. Long way from airport with no buses so expensive taxis required
The convenience to Stanstead airport. The person greeting us was very pleasant.
The room was OK but needs small amount of updating, paintwork peeling, door handle loose, bed small and uncomfortable.
