The whole place is beautiful, well kept, comfortable and private. Staff is attentive, and friendly. They really are on it with the WhatsApp responses and offer plenty of things to do. The plus is the scooter rentals which makes it easy to get around town but to the hotel.
What we didn't like is the location. It is very hard to get to by car or scooter since it's located up on a hill, on a dirt road, in a dead end street. Only way in and out.
We also didn't like the food. They really need to work in the quality of the food. We had breakfast on our arrival there and it was mediocre. Firstly it took a while for our breakfast to arrive and they were fairly simple plates to make. Breakfast was included with our stay but we didn't eat there because of how lacking our first breakfast was. Juice House right down the hill is where it's at.

The property is immaculate, super stylish, staff are super accommodating. We came for our honeymoon and they went above and beyond to make our experience seamless.
It’s super hard to say anything was bad.. the only thing we could think of was not having a full length mirror.
This hotel is decorated and built both stunningly beautiful as well as tranquil, perfect for a vacation
The only thing of note was some construction that was happening outside our window in the am. Obviously not the hotel’s fault

I loved how comfortable the rooms are, spacious, bathroom and shower so nice and the balcony hammock and small pool were great. Having AC was also a plus!
There was bit of noise from dogs barking outside but they provide earplugs and that helps
The main bedroom is spacious, the other are facing constructions and are very dark.
The place is surrounded by constructions that just started (Dec 25). We were not told so, supposedly because they just started although they started before our booking. There are construction noise from 6h45am until probably 7pm, maybe more.
Constant cut of electricity (which doesn’t happen that much here I’ve been coming for years).
There are also dogs on leashes all around the property barking all day and all night which is very sad to know and stressful to hear.
You can hear your neighbors, you can hear the various bars around blasting music.
If you like calm days and quiet nights, do not come here.
Beautiful hotel/room with lovely green views. Staff were kind and always available for questions.
Unfortunately there was building work right outside the hotel, whilst we were told this only started at 9am, we were woken up by the noise at 7am.
Continental breakfast was limited but plenty of restaurants/cafes serving breakfast within walking distance.
Absolutely beautiful hotel- gorgeous lobby, delicious breakfast, lovely rooms, and incredibly helpful and kind staff. I loved the decision of the hotel and the rooms and would have happily stayed here longer than the 4 nights I booked! The staff went truly above and beyond to help us with recommendations, transportation, etc. I truly can’t wait to return!
The location is slightly out of the way from the main commercial area, which is nice in terms of noise but if you have mobility issues this hotel might not be the best fit as you have to journey on some dirt roads to access
Beautiful property, very clean and peaceful. I saw complaints about the walk to the town, but I didn’t mind it. It’s only a short 10min walk and felt very safe.
Staff were helpful work booking taxis.
The inclusive breakfast is really lacking. I think if you’re going to serve such a limited/ never option it’s almost better not to offer inclusive breakfast. We were also told we could order via WhatsApp but would sometimes take around an hour from the first message to be answered.

5) Communication with hotel staff via whatsapp was very handy and made check in and check out super easy
1) Cleanliness - The hotel needs to be cleaner. There were very obvious stains on the bed’s top sheet and pillow when we arrived. There were also stains all over the pool seating and the rugs and these were present for our entire 4 day stay indicating that they were not cleaned over this time. The pool had algae stains around its edges.
2) Maintenance of facilities - we could see that there were workmen in the hotel patching up certain areas of render, but overall, the hotel is looking dishevelled. Render is cracking and flecking off in a lot of areas, there were stains on the floors and a light switch face plate came off in our room when touched which exposed live wires. Hot water in the shower was inconsistent, and the irrigation tap for the plants in the bathroom burst on our final day spraying the bathroom. We switched it off and informed the staff.
3) Noise - Not sure what can be done about this but noise travels really easily from floor to floor and room to room. We could hear the staff setting up for breakfast and speaking below us whilst in bed and got woken up when other guests came back to the hotel late at night. There’s also a lot of construction noise directly outside, dogs barking, cockerels cawing at all hours of the day. This was compounded by the bathroom being semi-outdoors with no glazing to acoustically buffer.
The villa was brilliant. Extremely spacious for three adults, with a very large communal area and great plunge pool.
I wouldn’t say didn’t like, but getting to and from Puerto Escondido at night either required a walk/hop through an untended garden, or a walk through a very dark street. It only took minutes to get to restaurants and bars, but the final section wasn’t my favourite.
