Modern, comfortable rooms nicely decorated. Cleaning staff were excellent. The access to the sea was perfect as we were able to snorkel and saw loads of amazing fish. The restaurant by the pool had excellent service and food and the pool top bar had great cocktails. The staff everywhere in the hotel across all services were welcoming, kind and helpful.
I would like to especially thank the staff at the reception because our flights were delayed for a number of days so we had to keep extending our stay and they also accommodated a late check out.

Excellent sea view
We were awoken on two nights out of seven by loud unruly noise from adjoining room.
No communication or follow up from management team.
Poor show for a four star hotel.
Comfortable and large room & great breakfast. We thought the location was fantastic - super close to some lovely restaraunts and very easy to reach the main part of Funchal in less than 10 mins by foot.
There were building works going on by the pool area during our stay. These were loud and we were not told there would be works going on. Bit of a shame as it’s a lovely area to chill and swim / read a book. There was a strange sewage smell outside the hotel although maybe no fault of the hotel

Lovely location close to the cruise terminal. Lots of cute restaurants and bars nearby. Beautiful property. Beautiful view of the water.
Service by staff was a bit lacking, especially at reception. Hard to find someone at times to check out, order a drink, etc.
