Weather too hot but not fault of hotel
Location. Close to the M5 to head north
Room was extremely hot. No aircon.
Super garden, stylish interior, space in our suite (free upgrade).
Loft rooms were too hot (2nd floor) on top floor under eaves. Staff obliged by providing a fan. But should have aircon.
Booked an overnight stay for my partner for a birthday treat
A very nice garden to sit in for drinks. Dinner and breakfast were in the conservatory which was also lovely. Food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Staff were also very attentive and helpful.
We had a cosy double which we expected to be small. But there was a bath with shower over in the middle of the bedroom! It would have made more space to not have a bath and just a shower cubicle. Mattress was too soft almost felt like a water bed!
It’s a perfect place for a reset. Beautiful surrounding, the decor of the hotel is fabulous. The staff were very friendly and helpful, food was delicious, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. We felt at home there and really loved it. There is a great national trust site to visit, it made the whole experience perfect
Beautiful, boutique hotel. Staff friendly and dealt with lack of hot water within 30mins. Arrived too late for dinner but the evening atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Lovely grounds to enjoy. Will def come back but not in a heatwave!
Stayed during the early May heatwave. Our dog friendly room was in the roof space with small window so uncomfortably hot and could not sleep. Overlooked back of the hotel which was quiet until 6am when deliveries started and van doors slamming. Breakfast was very good except the croissants -tough and chewy. Table next to us left theirs as well.

The property was exceptional. The staff very attentive. The food was excellent very clean very quirky. Highly recommend this establishment. The restaurant manager was excellent. I can’t highly recommend this place. It’s a little gem tucked away. We will return and thank you very much to the hotel.
That is nothing that we disliked. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff.
Beautiful location and room
Lovely place. Had a drink in the garden just beautiful. Room was very clean modern and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Definitely recommend.
Could hear a little bit of noise from the road. Not a problem though
Easy to find location a short drive beyond Tiverton. Good sized car park. Friendly welcome at reception. Room large and comfortable, if a little too warm. Evening meal really good, with Devon Red cider on tap in the bar. Good sized garden with outside seating and even a stream running through it ( not obvious from the terrace). Breakfast was as expected, with benefit of a good strong coffee.
Upstairs room was on the hot side of warm and even with window open took awhile to cool down. Otherwise perfect.
Lovely hotel with a beautiful garden and patio area. Food and service excellent. Comfortable room of a high standard and with everything you need.
