Pros:

Sehr nettes Hotel auch für mehrere Tage, mit kleinem Verbesserungsbedarf

Relativ ruhige, schöne Anlage etwas abseits des Zentrums, rustikale, einladende Zimmerausstattung;
schöne Buffett-Auswahl zum Dinner, Frühstück dagegen eher einfach.
Sehr netter Empfang, der Restaurantservice sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Cons:

Das Bad könnte unbedingt eine Auffrischung ertragen, Handtücher schon sehr lange in Gebrauch, Betten sind hart und unbequem. Die Zuordnung der Lichtschalter war „speziell“ - die Nachttischlampe war z. B. nur am Türeingang an- und auszuschalten.

Lovely place
Pros:

Really nice place, big spacious room, nice pool area. Feels very safe and tucked away while still walking distance to restaurants and shops. Hotel staff were very helpful and spoke great English. Food was either menu or buffet - both were good.

Angenehmer Barbetrieb, sehr gutes Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet. Hilfreiches und freundliches Personal. Wir hatten Dinner inkludiert, das empfiehlt sich sehr. In der Nähe gibt es nicht viele Restaurants

A beautiful and clean hotel with friendly staff and a great location, though service responsiveness needs improvement.
Pros:

The property is beautiful, very clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It’s also conveniently located / about a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport and only a 5-minute walk to the beach road.

Cons:

There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. The reservation response level was quite poor during the booking stage, which made the initial process a bit frustrating. Breakfast was good but somewhat limited in variety. I also requested extra pillows twice during my stay, but they were never delivered to the room.
Despite these issues, the hotel has great potential. With a bit more attention to service details and a stronger customer-focused approach, it could be excellent. I would still love to return on my next visit.

The perfect way to end my time in Sri Lanka
Pros:

I wear a seahorse ring that often catches people’s attention, and as a freediver who photographs seahorses, ending my Sri Lanka journey at the Seahorse Hotel felt extra special.

This is a fantastic hotel — beautifully organised, with modern rooms and great technology. There are thoughtful seahorse-inspired details throughout, which I really appreciated. On arrival, I sat by the bar with a Seahorse Hotel special piña colada (highly recommend!) and later enjoyed lunch by the pool. The rooms are spacious and stylish, the showers excellent, and the staff wonderfully friendly.

The grounds are filled with frangipani trees and flowers, creating a lovely atmosphere, and breakfast was a highlight each morning. When I first arrived it was very peaceful, but I noticed later how lively and welcoming the space becomes when more guests arrive.

The only thing I felt was missing was a keepsake — as a graphic designer, I found their logo beautiful, and it would have been great to have the option of a hat or souvenir to take home. Normally I wouldn’t look for that, but in this case it felt like a real opportunity.

Overall, this was a perfect place to relax at the end of my trip, and I would also recommend it as a wonderful first stop when arriving in Sri Lanka.

We highly recommend this hotel if you’re in Negombo.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, plenty of variety. The staff from management to cleaning excellent, even the in house tour guide was very helpful and resourceful. Keep up the great work guys and girls.

The music box right under our room.

Nice ambience, lovely pool and decor, good breakfast, friendly staff.

Cons:

Needs a woman's touch, no candles or fresh flowers around! No mozzie coils at night. Cocktails were not up to much.
