Relaxing
Pros:

The staff were lovely upon arrival and the check-in process was so easy! The facilities were amazing the aesthetic rooms and pool area definitely were a stand out for me. The sauna and cold plunge were also a really cool experience, my partner loved them. The hotel is also in a really convenient spot and walked literally everywhere - it only took a few minutes to get to the shops and restaurants! We would definitely stay at The Swell if we were to visit Byron Bay again.

Cons:

It would be amazing if there was a larger room service menu but since all of the shops and restaurants were so close it never was a big problem for us. On our second night we were unfortunately in a room next to what sounded like a group of friends that were very loud, slamming doors and what sounded like going in and out of the room until the early morning which was annoying, but not any fault of the hotel staff.

The property was perfectly situated for what we wanted to do; surfing and diving all within walking distance as were the many restaurants.

Cons:

The room we had backed onto the communal pool. I thought we would have direct access to this but we did not and privacy was not that great. I would choose a garden room in future.
