It was an enjoyable experience which was enhanced by the excellent service
Pros:

Breakfast was very tasty. Scrambled eggs were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Coffee was good and I liked the bead choices. Staff was very accomodating and attended to my need. I looked forward to my daily breakfast.

i was very pleased with my experience at the hotel and didn't find anything to object to.

A luxurious, comfortable and calm stay—slightly off the main tourist area but worth it!
Pros:

Everything was perfect from arrival to check-out. The staff were discreet yet attentive, making the stay feel effortless. The room was spacious—a welcome change after many smaller hotel rooms—with a large bathroom and roomy bath. The comfortable bed, generous selection of snacks, sweets, and gifts, and a lovely view of the river made the stay truly enjoyable.

Cons:

The only minor drawbacks were the lack of a traditional smoking room (only e-cigarettes allowed) and a location slightly less convenient for exploring Kyoto compared to the Kawaramachi area, though it was much calmer.
