Beautiful resorts perfect for golf lovers
Nothing
Another lovely stay at the Belfry.
Nothing to dislike
We had a wedding reception meal, the hotel and resturants were fabulous.
Lovely areas in and around the hotel for sitting enjoying the food and drink options available.
Rooms comfortable and spacious.
Plenty of parking.
Directions to the Leisure Club were a little difficult to follow. We ended up walking though a bar in our bathrobes!
A clear explanation of how the Leisure Club operates for hotel visitors would be appreciated when you check in.
The property is very well kept. The grounds are very nice and the facilities especially for kids are great.
The food in the bar could have been better.
Modern and flash.
Drinks prices so expensive. Service charges automatically included
The room was fine.
The room was good, but its location near a bar was not. There was an obvious fight after midnight that lasted a long time. The breakfast was poor for such a well-known hotel and resort. Poor quality produce, and some of the hot food was overcooked and cold. Overall it was poor.
The property grounds are lovely, and we did manage to secure an early check-in as requested.
The service was entirely unacceptable from start to finish. Ahead of our arrival, we were told to call at 11:00 AM to arrange our early check-in. We spent our entire two-hour drive calling repeatedly with absolutely no answer at reception. When someone finally picked up, we were given completely incorrect information about room upgrade availability and pricing.
Upon arrival, the poor communication continued: the promised upgrades weren't available, and the pricing quotes changed. Worse yet, one of the complimentary water bottles in our room had already been opened and drunk from—a major hygiene issue.
Later, because the room iron was broken, I requested a clothes steamer to get ready for a wedding. Despite being told it would arrive straight away, it took over two hours and four follow-up phone calls to arrive, making me late for the event. To top it off, there were bugs flying around the ceiling at night, the hotel charges a premium hourly fee for a late check-out (which they refused to waive despite our terrible experience), and guests are forced to pay extra just to use the basic spa facilities. Furthermore, for a hotel of this tier, the rooms lacked standard basic amenities like a mini-bar.
Great location and lots for kids to do
Rooms are dirty and outdated not worth the cost
Beautiful grounds and amazing views. Lovely food and lots of ares to eat, drink and relax
Nothing about the property, but one member of staff at breakfast was rude and had no customer service skills.
Hospitality was good with plenty of options for food and drink
the temperatures of the room, found the night really uncomfortable due to it being so hot in the room.
The Dyson fan did nothing too cool down the room and the window didnt open far enough
No air con in bed room! Was awfully hot in there but air con in the corridor
Lovely hotel however no AC in rooms which really lets it down! The room was like a furnace in 30 degree heat and the fan didn’t work. Considering the price for an overnight stay here it was very disappointing as it was an uncomfortable sleep!
The gym & pool facilities
The room was very hot with no air conditioning
Really good facilities even if you are not a golfer with several bars and restaurants as well as an excellent leaisure facility and spa. Unfortunately like many golf courses, you cannot walk the courses unless playing.
I was accomodated in the Lee Trevino wing which is a bit detached from the main facility and felt a little isolated and basic for the cost, albeit that was the standard twin room (for some reason the standard double was more expensive than a standard twin). Extremely hot during my visit and there was a fan in the room with the advice to keep curtains closed albeit I had no view anyway, however, would assume A/C would be standard is such a prestigious hotel and complex.
