The location of The Slipway in this beautiful little town is amazing being right near the water. The other guests were enjoying themselves as well and the atmosphere in the bar area was great. Rooms were smallish but with views and very comfortable beds. There are stairs to the rooms, but the staff helped with our international luggage.
This is not the fault of The Slipway but it was a bit hard to find. You also cannot park nearby. I was under the impression that the offsite parking was close, it was not and it had to be paid for.
Convenient!
Amazing place at the heart of Port Isaac. I just want to learn more about the Doc Martin TV show!
Nothing! Everything was amazing. The room was excellent, the special Easter dinner was excellent!
Friendly welcoming staff, clean, comfortable good food great view
Parking difficulties but perhaps they could offer a shuttle service for guests using the public car park which is some distance away and up a hill?
Lovely location by the harbour. Friendly staff.
It's difficult to drive as the road is so narrow. Luckily we were a quiet time of year.
The room & bathroom were very adequate but small. No bedside table
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and comfortable. Great view from the window and plenty of refreshments. There was a good breakfast menu. It is a great location if you want to be in the heart of Port Isaac.
I liked everything, however.
I ordered the veggie breakfast and the sausages were over cooked and very dry, so I was not able to eat them.
Amazing location , and very friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and lovely tea and biscuits provided. The breakfast is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had !!!
We had such a lovely stay. We were really pleased with our room and the view. There was so much choice on the breakfast menu. Would definitely recommend staying here, couldn’t fault it at all.
Lovely old building.
Nothing
Location was great, right in heart of town.
Bar area and dining room could do with returning some more old world charm (sea faring nick nacks etc) to boost the atmosphere. Wasn’t thrilled with outside patio either.
Staff were really friendly, and i felt very welcome and at home, important when travelling alone. Enjoyed the food, local, fresh, hot and imaginative. Going to slerp to the lapping waves a special joy.
A bedside table would have been nice, or small shelf.
Location and quirky
It was very clean & comfortable & had everything we needed in it
Shower was a bit snug - but it’s understandable given the age of the property & therefore the rooms are cost sizes too
The breakfast was more than satisfactory, with a menu that effortlessly complemented the character of the place. I found the entire experience utterly delightful, precisely the sort of charm one hopes to encounter in a sleepy English fishing village. In every respect, it was perfect
There was not one thing that disappointed..
