I sent the following to the hotel as a message before posting here, just in case they would discuss and take this on oard, in which case i wouldn't post it. Didn't even get a response, so heres what i wrote.

To be honest, if you are going to use this place for overnight hotel stays as well as for student accommodation, you need to get a few comforts in the rooms. Don't get me wrong - very clean and functional. However, felt like being a hospital- white walls and ceiling, and lights that could only be either blinding bright,... or off...
No bedside light or anything either but  I used the desk reading light instead.. A nice wee kitchen but no pots or pans to use in it (you can apparently get these from reception but this place is truly massive and it was too far to be worth it by the time i got in - late and soaking wet - and then got through all the work I brought in).. There was a kettle but no coffee for it, only tea which is a disaster for me.... plus only two milk pots which is enough for one cup. Nice big TV but whatever I did with the thermostat the heating just blew cool air out - was cold until i just turned it off altogether though during the night it appeared to work better when I switched it back on.
Room is good if you know what you are getting and can bring a few things with you. However, for the price I paid, not good for an overnight for work - for the price of my "Deluxe King Studio" I could  have had a room at the Premier inn - wish i had for a much cosier experience
Also, at the time - no bar or restaurant and it's around a 20-25 minute walk down to the town each way. I was so hungry when I finished my work that I walked down anyway and bought a small jar of coffee for the morning on the way....
Also, no sign of a wifi code in the room and hardly any phone signal - work was difficult.
Would still stay there but would be better prepared next time and I expect I will like it a lot more.

See above. Not my favorite place I've stayed at, but all can be improved - it is still brand new.

Pros:

Very spacious and comfortable, we were on the ground flour and had the bit garden with the picnic table nice touch, definately another visit soon

Very new and clean, lovely reception staff! Quiet at night

Cons:

First given a disabled room which had bed against the wall so the person on inside would have to scramble over to get out. Didn’t like wet room either..everything got soaked. Asked to move and this was no problem

Pros:

Rangement optimisé, neuf, fonctionnel, propre, moderne

Cons:

Accueil difficile a trouver surtout de nuit, lit trop proche de la fenêtre, ascenseur en panne

High quality furnishings, lovely staff, inconvenient location, needs better insulation!
Pros:

Immaculately finished high quality materials throughout and comfortable bed in brand new building.

Cons:

Poorly insulated; could hear talking next door, movement around etc.
Cold (due to poor insulation and unnecessarily vast window not performance in Scottish March weather) with inadequate heating system that looks clever but only stays on up to 2 hours and isn't very effective.

Pros:

Gorgeous and spacious rooms, on-site 24/7 mini-store, free parking. 24/7 reception, adjustable heating, fridge, pots, plates, utensils, cups, stovetop etc. in every room.

Cons:

It took me a while to figure out how to operate the thermostat to adjust the temperature but it worked perfectly once I got it figured out.
