Felt like a second home
The whole experience,
Location, ocean view, staff and facilities
The hotel was good, Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The size of the room was big and the view was amazing.
the room has table and a char for work.
We were there 7 nights and no one asked us if we would like room cleaning.
No beach towels available so we needed to take the bath towels to the beach and every day we needed to ask for new towels and the hotel didn't have enough so sometimes they replaced only one of them.
No stainless steal at the bathroom so the shower had rust.
We really enjoyed staying at the Galene, as it was close to the beach and a tuk drive to the nearest towns. The manager and staff were exceptional and so friendly and helpful, and always helped us with whatever we needed. We booked into a seaview room which wasn't avaible when we arrived, but as soon as it was free, the staff very kindly moved all our belongings into the seaview room, even exchanging the wardrobe over as we had locked our belongings in it.
So when we got back from the beach we had a nice suprise.
We found the rooms clean and comfortable with a balcony and sea view. Our room had air-conditioning and a fan, which really kept us cool. Tuk tuks were on hand outside the hotel whenever we needed them, and there were local cafes /restaurants nearby whenever we needed a meal. The tuk drivers were so friendly and took us whereever we wanted to go, and either stayed with us or came back for us.
There was nothing we didn't like.
The power went out a couple of times which didn't bother us at all, and it was soon restored. The water on the bathroom floor didn't drain off to well, but the staff were quick to clean the water away and give us bath mats.
Thank you, Galene Beach Hotel, for looking after us and making our stay enjoyable. we would definitely stay again.
