From bad service, misleading info and rooms that are below standard.
Breakfast was good
The hotel has heritage outlook, located in a good sport and accessible. beautiful old architecture.
The owners have over priced the hotel.
It is one star, it is over priced by 40% above its peers, curtains are old, there's only one staff the whole night - its women. they get tied. So they sneak upstairs to catch a rest. Sometimes they don't hear the bell at the door - guests are compelled to bang the door and wake up other guest up at 01h00 in the morning. Had the same experience through. the rooms are beautiful BUT you get tormented by large mosquitos

Lots of noise in the hotel and outside, although to be fair my room was on the street and next to reception.
Moldy walls with a clear moisture issue . Mosquitoes everywhere everytime , I could hear the noise from people walking upstairs, ugly ill-fitted curtains . The room looked like nothing on the website.

Esperienza assolutamente inaccettabile.
Al nostro arrivo ci è stata assegnata una prima camera che si presentava sporca, con numerose zanzare all’interno e lenzuola evidentemente non pulite. Abbiamo immediatamente segnalato la situazione alla reception, ritenendola non conforme a standard minimi di igiene.
Siamo stati quindi spostati in una seconda camera, che purtroppo si è rivelata in condizioni ancora peggiori. Il bagno era visibilmente sporco, con il WC che presentava evidenti residui e segni di mancata pulizia. Anche qui la presenza di zanzare era significativa.
Il letto non era stato rifatto con biancheria pulita: lenzuola e federe apparivano usate, con una macchia di sangue visibile sulle lenzuola. Le tende erano vecchie e sporche, l’ambiente emanava un cattivo odore e in generale la stanza risultava trascurata, datata e in condizioni igieniche terribili.
Inoltre, i giorni successivi abbiamo notato segni sulla nostra pelle di punture di insetti, probabilmente bed bugs.
Una situazione del genere è inaccettabile per qualsiasi struttura ricettiva. Esperienza estremamente negativa.
Hotel was excellent, staff amazing

Wardrobe damp throughout.
It was convenient located to what we had planned for the evening, but did not realise we would be in the middle of the Cape Parade. Not the properties fault though.
The shower-head was broken.
The towels were old and scruffy.
I liked thag that staff was friendly and very welcoming. The bed was comfortable.
The TV didn't work and had to utilize my phone to relax. Very disappointing
