Best location for visiting Victoria and great value.
Pros:

We have stayed a few times at the Helms Inn when we have visited Victoria. The hotel is spacious and very clean and the kitchen in each suite is an added bonus. The best part is the location as it is walking distance to all the attractions, restaurants and shopping.

Clean, comfortable and well kept, excellent value for money.
Pros:

location: in the middle of 'downtown', close to shops, restaurants, government buildings, parks, museums etc
room: bedroom separate from living room which was great for us, living room sofa is a pull out bed if needed
kitchen: had everything we needed - two burner, fridge, plates/bowls, cutlery, basic utensils, washing up bowl etc
building: seem to be 3 separate buildings, 2/3 stories high, so it doesn't feel like a nameless hotel, nor is it 'cosy'. It's comfortable, clean, and very well kept. Parking available. Excellent value for money.

Pros:

Location is ideal for exploring downtown Victoria. Building old but very clean and comfortable. Room has full kitchen very comfortable bed and pillows. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

No elevator but really not a big deal for us as we can do stairs.

We had a truck and found the parking lot for Helm's Inn a bit of a challenge to find parking.

Great place to hang out
Pros:

Separate bedroom, full length couch, compact kitchen - had everything i needed. It was very cosy and comfortable, nice to have 2 TV's and a nice comfy bed. Also good location and within a good walking distance to practically everything.

Cons:

Location was a little difficult to find, a little noisy, reception could be a little quieter in the morning and it would be nice for the water to not fluctuate when having a shower.
