Great location........
Pros:

Helm's Inn is lovely accommodation and quite well located within Victoria BC

Cons:

I was disappointed that while my room was lovely and had all the requirements I needed, it was not on ground level as requested when I booked.
With no lifts, a back that has regular physo and an added unhappy knee I didn't appreciate having to face stairs.....thankfully some other guests assisted me when I first arrived.

In addition, I felt a little more interaction with clients at check-in would be nice, perhaps it was just my experience but I really felt somewhat of 'just another number' ........... no questions re if I needed to know anything etc., even when I asked re breakfast....the response was 'we don't do breakfast ' end of conversation........I booked Helm's Inn feeling it would be more pleasant than an apartment but it felt just as clinical sadly.

Pleasant stay, surprisingly quiet on the fringe of the CBD. Bed comfortable.
Pros:

Basic hotel which is divided into 3 buildings, we were in the back one so it was quieter than expected. They don’t serve breakfast but we had a kitchen so ended up doing our own.

Cons:

Bathroom especially could use some upgrading and general facelift. Pricey for what it was I thought. But very clean
