Lovely comfortable stay
Pros:

Rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. We arrived earlier than expected but we were given our rooms straight away. All staff
were lovely. Friendly, had a sense of humour but were professional with it. We had a lovely evening meal my oxtail croquette and fish and chips were delicious and generous. The best chips! Breakfast followed suit and my poached eggs were just perfect. Not snotty white or hard yolk!

Cons:

Only thing was rooms were chilly on arrival but only had to turn radiators on (which probably wouldn't have been the case if we weren't so early) rooms quickly warmed up and temperature could be adjusted to suit.

Warm, cosy, friendly comfortable old-fashioned inn with excellent food.
Pros:

It did everything it said on the tin. A warm, cosy, friendly country pub. The room was a little small and could have done with an armchair or two, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the service amazing. I'd go back.

Cons:

Maybe a comfy chair in the room or a comfy seating area somewhere (maybe beside on of the woodburners!).

room okay for summer maybe when weather is better, when not having to go back and forth to pub
Pros:

breakfast was okay. seating was very close, not much room had to ask to be moved

Cons:

room was not in main building, our room was quite small and the double bed was against the wall! this was not great as we both need to use facilities during the night. so bed had to be moved across. room very cold when we got there. room at dinner in the main pub very warm uncomfortably so.

The food here is absolutely sublime, that’s the whole reason we would love to come back if we are ever travelling that w
Pros:

Nice and out of the way of everything, the pub is such a lovely period property.

Cons:

Small carpark when arriving at the same time as people who were just dining. Could do with separate parking for people staying or designated spaces.

Lovely village location with delicious food
Pros:

Very welcoming pub with a lovely atmosphere and the rooms were really cosy. Breakfast choice was really good, delicious and piping hot. Ate dinner in the pub on both nights of our stay, wide ranging choice and the fish and chips were really tasty. It was great to be able to bring the dog into the dining room, he especially appreciated the sausage for breakfast.

Cons:

The road outside is busy but it quieten down
after 8pm.

Pros:

Breakfast was very good, as was the choice. Would have been good to have some fresh fruit available.

Cons:

Evening meal was a little pricey but having said that mains were not bog standard pub meals.

Think they need to be clear on the booking websites that accommodation is not in the main pub but in as separate building and up metal steps - we managed but a person with more serious disability issues would not.

Ok room, nicely decorated but smelt of damp
Pros:

Breakfast was nice
Good available parking
Rooms were stylish

Cons:

Room smelt of mould, and damp
Rugs on floor we’re not clean and had visible stains in them
Walls very thin so you could hear people around us moving around / going to the bathroom etc.
unfortunately I don’t think anywhere in the area would have been greatly better.

Would recommend. Very comfortable, airy rooms with plenty of windows and big beds.
Pros:

Friendly staff, very attentive. Breakfast (full english) was small, 1x item of everything, but did the job. Very pretty pub, well maintained, lovely beer garden and sheltered outside area. Excellent value. Lovely room.

Cons:

Breakfast was a little small, 1x item of everything for full English and the toast wasn’t cooked enough. Lovely pot of tea. It was all very well cooked and presented lovely.
