Amazing cozy place with wonderful staff
Pros:

The service and my room. The gentleman serving us breakfast and doing our check out was so professional, kind, hard working and approachable. The owner was so lovely as well. Thank you a lot!

A hidden gem; sumptuous, thoughtful and utterly delicious
Pros:

The room was characterful, freshly renovated and spacious. The bathroom was a real treat, but the breakfast was literally amazing! A vegetarian breakfast is usually a compromise, but mine was an indulgence of beautifully cooked fresh halloumi, mushrooms, and tomatoes with toast and beans and a delicious lightly fried egg. A small treat, but the orange juice was delivered in its own little bottle; fresh and chilled. This is NOT a 3 star hotel, it’s so much more. You feel like a cherished family friend in a home-stay, not a hotel guest.

Cons:

Where was everyone?! It was really quiet as it’s been recently renovated. Get back to this place quickly, because soon it will be completely booked up!

Lovely little gem of a hotel in Newport with fabulous garden.
Pros:

Great veggie breakfast and beautiful garden, nicely decorated rooms that felt clean and fresh.

Cons:

Dining room was a little tired but I'm sure it's on their list of renovations...

well maintained beautiful gardens lovely relaxing atmosphere. Th owener was very caring she even took me to a nearby restaurant on my first day as I am not walking well and she even came back for me all in all a perfect place to stay

Pros:

Breakfast was ok.
Décor was quite nice.

Cons:

The stairs are steep and twisting which made carrying cases up to the room a challenge, especially having carried them from the nearest publick carpark.
Carpark angsiety was a real problem. The nearby private carpark has some terrible Trustpilot reviews and the public carpark opposite it has limited phone coverage and a faulty machine. The hotel could easily suggest that guests check in and use their WIFI to pay for multi day parking at the public carpark . Cost works out as £40 for 4 days and £70 for upto 7 days in 2025. This is something that the hotel should tell guests before they arrive. SEA STREET SHORT STAY CARPARK is the place to park. You can stay for up to 7 days but need to pay at the start on the internet using the PayByPhone app. The car park number is 84066

Can recommend recently renovated clean bnb with amazing breakfast!
Pros:

Great recently renovated bnb in a quaint town with amazing breakfast and clean rooms. We were able to book last-minute since we didn’t like our other accommodations/were sailing on a dirty boat and weren’t sure where it would dock until the day of.

Cons:

They renovated everything but the carpet floors so it smelled a bit like old carpet, so I couldn’t sleep well/was up at 5.30am from carpet smell. My friend slept fine tho.

Lovely boutique hotel, close to the center of Newport with a great breakfast.
Pros:

This a lovely boutique hotel. Each bedroom is individual. The location is perfect, close to the center of Newport. The breakfast is excellent served in a pleasant room overlooking the garden.

Cons:

The shower head was very old (fixed head and needed the limescale removed) and there was a dead insect in the shower.
