Super 8 by Wyndham Pigeon Forge-Emert St

The room stunk. The facilities in the room were old and loud (light switch in bathroom). To be fair, it was an insanely good price for what we got, so we were still satisfied. But yeah it wouldv'e been nice to have had a better smelling room. They need to deep clean.

The carpet needed a good shampooing.

The room was very damp. The elevator sound like it was going to break down any minute and location was bad , you couldn't hardly see it from the road and breakfast was not good at all.

I didn't like that the pool was always in the shade so it made the pool cold

Elevator was a little scary. It groaned going up and down. Front staff was ok but not very personable.

We loved the hotel, that’s why we keep going back. Everything has always been wonderful. But I’m pretty sure we will be looking for another place to stay.
I have bragged on Super 8 to all of our friends and family. There is not a bad thing I could say before.
A lot of referrals come from word of mouth . But, I m sorry, that’s not the case here. You would have thought that being a return guess, they could help out a little. I have never given a bad review on anything, but this deserves one.
I just wanted to vent a little, after all we have been staying there for 15 years or a little longer.

Only thing that we did not care for was we were beside someone who had dogs that barked when you would come back to your room or leave and would bark nearly all night long at every little thing.

We called when we booked and messaged them as well about needing to be on the first floor and to make sure that they knew that we were traveling with our 2 yorkies. Not once did they tell us that we would be charged $15 per day per dog to stay there. So right out of the gate there was an additional $134 in fees. The lady at the front desk was asked over and over what the fees would be and finally answered us after about 10 minutes. She was extremely rude. Our room stank. We ended up immediately going to buy cleaning supplies and lysol to clean the room. Noise all night long. Slamming doors people talking. The bed felt like we were laying on the floor. The smell of weed everywhere. The employees reaked of it and had themselves and people going in and out of a room on the 2nd floor night and day. We left a day early because we were so uncomfortable there. The people staying a few doors down from us were also told they had to leave a few days early because of a booking issue so they had to go find somewhere else to stay. We did get our deposit back and a check for $33 for the pet refund, but the card we used to pay for the room, a card we rarely use has been compromised and we started getting fraud alerts on both cards we used there and have $700 in fraudulent charges used on the card we paid for the room with. We have had to cancel our cards, our bank account got frozen because of this. None of this happened until we used the card at Super8. It was a horrible vacation and we have stayed here before and it was very nice. It is no longer clean, comfortable or family friendly. Also there was a huge step up to get into the "handicapped" shower/tub. Definitely this hotel needs to address staff and cleaning issues. A complete disappointment and we had recommended others to stay there based on previous visits. Never again.
