The food was fabulous as was the service… the owner and his wife both engaged in conversation with us. The hospitality is key to the success of this little gem. Beds were comfortable, facilities clean, massage and body scrub left me relaxed. All in all we had a great stay.
The staff was quite personable without an effort. They would smile each time you pass by and the most genuine smiles I've come across .The location is 10/10. Especially the sitout area outside the breakfast room. The massage and hot springs were definitely worth it . They have a place for drivers to stay , which is a plus.
The breakfast wasn't great and had very limited options. The massage doesn't have disposables and the warm blankets were used with all patients. The bedsheets ans pillow covers were stained with oil marks bcoz of the ayurvedic treatment people undergo. The room that I stayed in was mouldy. It is a small town which may lack training the staff as I realised the willingness wasn't an issue just that it doesn't occur to the staff that there are some service standards.
All kinds of possibilities for swimming, yoga, water play, relaxation, detox, ayurveda, and spa treatments; delicious vegetarian and Himachali fare; and most of all the pristine thermal bath. It is a rare gem.
This is also a very down-to-earth place and the staff are friendly and very professional.
It is a long drive to get there, but worth it. I would plan to stay longer next time.
