A perfect location right next to the port. Ideal for walking by the port and enjoying all of the bars and restaurants. A really nice clean hotel where the staff are excellent. Great value for money and I would recommend to anybody looking for a hotel in the best location.

The staff are amazing. Friendly, cheerful. Evening and night reception staff in particular were fantastic. Everything was spotlessly clean. Facilities were very good (although more than one tea bag per day would be helpful).
Not the hotel’s fault but the intolerable noise from outside ruined my stay. I searched for alternative accommodation part way through my stay because of considerable noise but was only there 4 days so rode it out. I know the location is a lively place attracting many, many people high season. I also understand that the hotel is central so I do expect some noise. Fair enough. But street performers set up shop 15-20 yards from the hotel and had ghetto blasters, heavy on the base, with microphone commentary going on from 7pm to 11.30pm. Coupled with street noise from garbage collectors from 5am, if you need to sleep between midnight and 5am you may struggle if you’re a light sleeper. Soundproofing was practically zero.
Also, minor point but my room was small or else the bed was too big for the room; I had to turn sideways and do a shuffle to get down either side of the bed! Very cramped for one person, a very tight squeeze if 2 were staying.
Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Location was amazing.
Aircon was working but could be a little better. It was very hot outside 37degrees so understand the workload put on the unit.

A beautiful quaint hotel in the heart of La Rochelle! Friendly, helpful staff. The room had a fantastic view of the harbour& towers. Restaurants close by lots to see and do here! Perfect area for exploring the city. A Lovely room with comfortable surroundings, small and compact it has everything you needed.
Nothing not to like! if I had to be critical a little awning or a small umbrella would be great for the balcony! But this is a french style small hotel and it's loads of character I would recommend this hotel
