Not staying here anymore/ever again
Pros:

The location of this motel is nice. It’s close enough to the city for driving but far enough out that it’s quiet.

Cons:

I’ve stayed here twice before with no issues. The staff was exceptionally rude this time and wanted a security deposit (in cash) on top of what I already paid for the room- it was more than the room rental itself.

On top of that our room was not clean. The shower was gross and so was the TV remote

Good value for a motel. The room was clean, and it had a mini fridge and microwave which was nice.

Cons:

It was a nonsmoking room (as reiterated by the front desk employee), but there was definitely a smell of cigarettes in the room, specially in the bathroom

Smooth check in. Front desk agent was very pleasant and helpful.

Cons:

Upon entering my room I noticed the window curtain rod was being held to the brackets using tied strips of plastic. Even the drapes fully closed it was still almost as bright in the room as with them open. I've had bad beds before but this was the most uncomfortable ever. I turned on the light in the bathroom & found a cockroach crawling across the sink which I killed. Fortunately checking the bed there were no bedbugs. Upon returning from dinner I found more cockroaches in the bathroom. I went to the front desk to inquire about roach spray. He showed me paperwork indicating an exterminator was there just days prior, but said he would bring stuff up in 10-15 minutes which he did, and he even killed a few by hand while spraying. Having issues like this that were seen by staff with their own eyes I expected SOME kind of compensation for dealing with this but was offered NOTHING other than an apology.
