Beautiful hotel, amazing staff, fabulous food, would highly recommend this hotel!
Pros:

The property is beautiful, definitely has the ‘wow’ factor and the staff are amazing. Thank you Chris for being so happy and welcoming every morning at breakfast. On the first day of arrival at the hotel, my flight was delayed so we didn’t arrive till just before 9pm. As the kitchen closes at 9pm the staff very kindly let me place an order for food which they kept warm for me for when I arrived. The food we had over the 3 days was delicious and the service from all the lovely girls was fab.

Cons:

The room was lovely however there was a slight smell in the bathroom which I mentioned to the staff and they dealt with this very quickly, which was much appreciated.

We really enjoyed the area and location which made up for its slight imperfections.
Pros:

It was a beautiful location. Restaurant manager was very helpful.

Cons:

Some of the staff were a bit young and flippant . Also there was a smell in the toilet in the bedroom. It was probably expensive for what it was.

Eines der besten Hotels in der wir eine Nacht verbringen durften
Pros:

Geplant als einfacher Zwischenstopp zur Fähre nach Dublin, war das das beste Hotel Erlebnis in England. Ein alt ehrwürdiges Haus mit Einer super Lage am Wasser und einem vorzüglichen Frühstück. Vielen Dank nochmal an Chris für die Beratung zum Farmer Frühstück.

Really poor experience
Pros:

The room was large and clean, the bathroom was particularly nice.

Cons:

Incredibly noisy - literally everything can be heard from the room. Every time someone used the hand dryer in the restaurant we could hear it. Windows are single glazed so offer no noise cancellation. Loud music, chefs shouting, doors banging. Constant noise until 12am. Only single pillow provided. TV remote didn’t work.

Upon arrival in the room the cotbed promised had no mattress. When we raised this with the manager she said housekeeping told her it was illegal to provide a cot bed mattress 🤣. This a) isn’t true and b) if it is their policy, they should be telling parents they cannot provide a full cot bed. Manager later admitted they didn’t have one on site.
We told her they needed to find one otherwise our toddler had nowhere to sleep.
An hour later, still nothing had been sorted. We found one at Argos locally and had to push to get the hotel to travel to pick it up for us. They only did when I emphasised we were 4 hours from home with a toddler who had nowhere safe to sleep despite paying over £200 for our room. Incredibly stressful and manager seemed to have no idea what to do or how to manage her housekeeping staff who seemed to be dictating to her. They did eventually get the mattress but no consolation was offered to us for the stress caused. We paid full price for dinner and drinks.

Ruined what should have been a nice first trip away with our toddler.

Lovely one night get away. Definitely stay again.
