The hotel is beautiful
The gardens are very over grown need weeding and care
Staff are all very professional and welcoming, small menu but dinner and breakfast cooked beautifully using quality ingredients.
The decor in the room was great with a mix of contemporary prints and Mouseman furniture.
The bathroom was beautiful.
The quality of the breakfast was outstanding!!
Lots of extra costs like supplements and surcharges in the restaurant.
The bar prices are astronomical, £8 for a 330ml can of IPA , lager or cider, £10 - 14 for a glass of wine and house wine £44 a bottle!
£40 corkage if you bring your own wine into the room.
It was a little dark throughout the hotel and some people may find the artifacts in the lounges overwhelming and macabre.
We love the quirkiness. We have visited at least 5 times.

The food and ambience, beautiful place.
Everything about the property was lovely walking through the Orchard. Excellent location Food lovely staff all excellent very professional. Will definitely stay again and thanks to all the staff who looked after us. Will definitely be returning.
There was nothing to dislike
Room was nice, lounges were cool, restaurant aesthetically good.
The manager was very sassy and unfriendly, how did he become a manager here? We actually would be laughing in disbelief after every interaction with him.
Music in the restaurant was completely awful (lounge covers of pop songs)
There is no vibe here. It felt like being in a weird, empty limbo where no one smiles and everyone looks vacant.
Also the building where the rooms are smelt like sewage and looked half-done. Almost like a cheap student accomodation.
Wonderfully decorated throughout with more stuffed animals on the wall that makes you feel a little bit odd. The young waiter was great. Rooms were comfortable.
When we arrived we got told to go away and come back at 3pm. It is a hotel that is not long for the world. Shuts its doors at 10.30pm and all the lounges are looked so could not use them in the morning. Just weird experience that I would rather not repeat ever. Very limited menu, however food was ok. Paid for breakfast and had to pay another £5 for an orange juice….Simply ludicrous. Had to pay a cover charge for sitting down for dinner and breakfast….very odd surcharges and additional fees. WiFi was simply terrible which in this day and age is rather peculiar.

Breakfast starts at 8am! Checked out atv7.45, no staff around and reception closed. Musty, damp just unpleasant

Relegati in struttura distaccata rispetto al corpo centrale e mostrato su Booking. Camera senza aria condizionata, bagni dove si sentivano gli scarichi dei piani soprastanti. Colazione che, seppur inclusa nel prezzo mi addebitavano costi di coperto, la colazione era a scelta di 4 piatti, nessuno dei quali " english breakfast" . Questa era soggetta a costi supplementari. Ho trovato Booking un po' sommaria nelle informazioni. Suggerirei approfondimenti. Porta finestra che non si poteva, per motivi di privacy e prudenza aprire
