Location was amazing although the entrance was not signed and we missed it at first. The actual hotel was amazing and the food was fabulous. The drinks are expensive but when you are getting such great food at such a reasonable price I will happily pay for the expensive drinks and £5 for a side is fine considering what else we got for the price.
The gardens are lovely we enjoyed exploring and my daughter said she felt like she was in Alison Wonderland in the Hotel with the different decoration, pictures and furniture. The whole hotel smelt amazing it was like walking into a spa hotel and the music in the restaurant was good too.
No mirror in the room apart from the one in the bathroom with no plug socket. This made it impossible to dry hair or use any electrical styler whilst looking in a mirror we had to use our phones with the camera to do our hair.
Relaxed stay, beautiful rooms & amazing staff
Isaac & Lily were very attentive in the restaurant
The breakfasts were really good with a great serving team and we also enjoyed the dinner that we had at the Rudloe. We loved the Terry O'Neill photos in our room and in the communal areas and other artworks, and the overall styling of lour room.
The administration seemed a little haphazard and when a mistake was made in our restaurant bill it was hard for the staff on duty to correct it (not their fault but they should be given a bit more autonomy).
It was convenient for our purposes
The room was on the ground floor and was not secure, the patio doors could not be locked and could be opened quite easily from outside. On two consecutive days on returning to our room, on day one the patio doors had been left open and on day two the room entrance door had been left unlocked by the staff. We had booked half board for three nights and found that the menu didn’t change for either meal. The main meal had three meat options and no fish option and if you wanted a potato or vegetable these were all chargeable at £5 each.
The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and comfortable, pillows are amazing. Little touches like water available in the rooms is appreciated. Rooms are clean throughout. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The main house is a treat to wonder around or to sit and enjoy. The entrance to the coach houses and stairwells are a little shabby but don’t let that out you off as the rest is very well cared for.
Always love coming here, my favourite place to relax and chill.
Nothing always receive a warm welcome
Unique
Rude staff cold undercooked raw food
The rooms, location, staff and food
Nothing
The interior and eclectic collection of antiques, art , etc , were outstanding
I thought the entrance and stairwell in the bedroom block looked very shabby and run down.
Modest evening menu but well executed.
Yes the drinks are expensive but this is easily researched before hand
so complaining about it later is petty, you don't have to have them.
Our room was very very dusty with some things like the blinds not
having been cleaned for months.
The fantastic dining room is let down by one thing, the nasty little
place mats, mine had a hole in it.
Art, decor and grounds are fabulous.
Lack of facilities in rooms, evening staff unhelpful, charged $25 corkage fee to open a bottle of own wine to drink in the room.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Rudloe Arms from Friday to Sunday. Everything was spot on—from the impeccably presented, attentive staff to the outstanding three-course meals, beautifully prepared and full of flavour.
The house itself is stunning, filled with incredible artwork, sculptures, and unique pieces in every room. There’s so much to take in—it really makes you feel at home while enjoying a glass of wine on the beautiful sofas, surrounded by such character and charm.
The grounds and gardens are peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect escape from busy everyday life. Our room was incredibly comfortable, with cosy bedding and thoughtful touches throughout.
A real highlight was meeting Luca White, who was charming, welcoming, funny and made our stay even more special.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, reasonably priced getaway with exceptional food, service, and atmosphere, I couldn’t recommend this place more.
This is a place one must visit in your lifetime
Thank you to everyone who is part of this wonderful place
