Interior decor; the small albeit very nice spa; good breakfast; nice welcome; gorgeous view.
Breakfast time could last a bit longer than 10h15 (they are very precise and start removing without asking at around 10ish). No complains as we knew but it was a bit abrupt. Nothing big.
Nous avons passé une nuit magnifique au Château des Avenières. Le cadre est exceptionnel, l’hôtel est superbe et le personnel est très professionnel. Les prestations sont de grande qualité. Les tarifs sont élevés, mais nous les avons acceptés sans hésiter et avons pleinement profité de notre séjour, notamment avec un dîner de plus de 300 €.
Notre seule déception concerne un détail qui, à nos yeux, fait la différence dans un établissement de ce standing. Mon ami a oublié une chemise dans la chambre. Lorsque nous avons demandé son renvoi en Suisse, l’hôtel nous a facturé 20 € pour l’expédition. À cela se sont ajoutés des frais de douane à la livraison.
Ce n’est pas le montant qui nous dérange, mais le principe. Dans un établissement de cette catégorie, nous aurions apprécié un geste commercial ou, au minimum, une prise en charge des frais d’envoi. Ce type d’attention contribue à l’image d’excellence que l’on attend d’un hôtel de ce niveau.
Cela n’enlève rien à la qualité de notre séjour, mais laisse une dernière impression qui aurait pu être bien plus positive.
If you wanna look at the French Alps and eat breakfast, stay here. This is an adventure not just a hotel. The local area is beautiful, the gardens, the pool, the grotto, the chapel. it was an experience, just exploring the hotel. The top floor massage chair, chairs, saunas, and steam room are an absolute must! The view is unbelievable.

No evening meals on Monday or a Tuesday but hotel offers light bites instead, our choice was lasagna which was awful, a reheated lasagna in a small glass jar, the food really spoilt the memory.
Everything was spectacular, from the decoration of the rooms to the breakfast. The property is in great shape, hats off to the hosts and team.
The spa area is smaller than i thought. The music during breakfast can improve.

The hotel is wonderful! The stuff even better. I must especially mention Mrs."Lilli", who hosted us for dinner! She was polite and helpful! We liked her style to wait us at the table! The meal was also great. Also the ladies at the reception did a good job! English was no problem at all!
