Managed by a private host
Very nice people, they were helping and arranging everything what we asked for, very nice room, clean, ven the food was delicious. We were really injoying staying at Mango Villa
Personal encantador.
The hosts are super nice, and you will feel instantly at home. beds are comfy, and the air con is great. They let us borrow bicycles, which was nice to explore the surroundings. They can also arrange tours to the NP.
Nothing
Probably the kindest people we have ever met at a Homestay. They cooked fantastic breakfasts and dinners on request, always accommodating our hours. When we needed rides to and from the beach with surfboards, they helped us call tuktuks at all hours — even coming by motorbike to pick us up from the beach when a single tuktuk couldn’t carry all 4 of us. When stray dogs stole one of our flip flops, they actually mended the bite marks and fixed it for us. Cannot recommend this property more. The location was also extremely convenient for good surfing far from Arugam Bay (less crowded).
Nothing
Niente!
Our best stay in Sri Lanka! Which we would have had time to stay longer. Very nice private beach within a short walking distance.

Very calm home
Lady helped us with our work telling people to bring there animals as we
Are vets which was a help
Thank you we will be staying there again
There was nothing at all i did not like
Very nice homestay and good location for a Kumana National Park safari, which can be arranged by the host Rosie. Also, good access to peanut farm beach and walk distance to the rock. And the breakfast, lunch, and dinner of Rosie is the best.
Nothing
Mooie, schone kamer, fijn bed.

Sehr gastfreundliche Gastgeber!!!
The owner was super friendly and an amazing cook! Everything was great — the place is quiet and relaxing, a perfect spot away from the busy Arugam bay. The only downside was that we had quite a lot of ants in the bathroom at night. Other than that, it was a lovely stay!
If you’re looking to get away from the mainstream tourism of the east coast and enjoy some time in nature, stay at Mango Ville with Rosie! Panama is a calm and beautiful village with lots of surrounding nature - including beautiful lagoons and Kumana national park. Rosie was an amazing host and prepared us amazing Sri Lankan food for breakfast and dinner. The property has a beautiful garden and the room was very clean and nicely decorated.
Nothing it was perfect!
Good value for money. Breakfast was good and host nice. They also prepared a good dinner for a fair price. Welcome drinks is a bonus.
Be aware, "aircon" is in supplement (5000). One of the room doesn't have a real aircon, just a big fan but has a mosquito net. A bit hard to communicate sometimes but host is nice. One of the room is better than the other
Best food in Sri Lanka :)) thank you for all :)
Your hospitality your kindness :)
Dont hesitate to book the safari with them ;)
Rien
During our two months in Sri Lanka and despite 5 days of straight rain, this was our favourite stay. The road to Panama was a safari in itself, with a 2.5 meter monitor lizard, crocodile ponds, scores of gray langurs and stunning views. We visited outside the tourist season so we were the only tourists in the village, which sports some lovely beaches, a lake with many crocodiles, charming rice fields and lagoons, friendly locals, affordable local restaurants and good access to the Kumana national park.
The room is charming and clean and had everything we needed (though if you are very attached to hot showers you won't find one here). What made the stay so special though was the wonderful family who runs it. Their hospitality is genuine and our walks in the neighbourhood and evening talks thought us so much. Their cooking is fantastic, with many ingredients from their own garden and including original Sri Lankan dishes you won't find on any restaurant menu. It is people who live from their heart like them that form the true treasure of Sri Lanka.
The only problem with this place is that if you spend too much time here, you don't want to leave anymore.
