Guests who wish to dine in one of the onsite restaurants must reserve tables when booking, to avoid disappointment. Guests are advised the same card that was used to make the booking will be required to take the payment. Please note that dinner, bed and breakfast includes a 3-course dinner at Elephant Brasserie. The following room types have extended check-out available until 11:00: Superior Double Room Standard Double Room Deluxe Double/Twin Room Luxury Double or Twin Room Guests staying in the Woodland Lodges, please note that there is a security deposit of GBP 200 that is taken upon arrival for incidentals. This deposit is fully refundable upon check-out and subject to a damage inspection of the accommodations. Please note that accommodations with a hot tub, the hot tub is ready to be used from the second day only. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult in the leisure facilities and swimming pool. Too expensive for what it is, needs updating.
Pros:

We didn’t have breakfast.
The grounds

Cons:

Our superior room was poor and we asked to be moved.
The beds were shocking and not properly made. The view was looking out on a roof

A real success, and the staff, particularly the woman on reception when we arrived, were excellent.
Pros:

We were there for a surprise party for my mum's 80th birthday, which worked really well.
Staff - the person at reception was brilliant, and helped make it a success.
Lodges very comfortable.

Best place to stay with family on Cornwall.
Pros:

This hotel is situated in a stunning location. We thoroughly enjoyed our family holidays! Must visit place if you are planning to explore Cornwall.

Cons:

Everything was maintained very well and we find it really pleasing to spend our time there.

Excellent place, food and spa!
Pros:

The spa and gym facilities here are perfect. We had a fantastic time. Sadie at the spa was excellent. The gym was never too busy. The food at the restaurant was some of the best I’ve had. Delicious lamb roast dinner, fish and chips and really good desserts. The bar food (burger) was not as nice. It was close to the station (a short 20 minute walk) and there are nearby buses to the main attractions. Staff were very pleasant!

Cons:

In terms of facilities, excellent sauna (proper saunce with hot coals and steam!), nice pool and decent changing facilities. The jacuzzi/wave pool area was not warm, and there is a sign that says this is only 1 degree warmer than the swimming pool which was a shame.

Disappointed with room but hotel was good
Pros:

The breakfast was good. Local produce and fruits and yoghurt options. The swimming pool was lovely and worth a visit. The rooms are large and clean and the bed is comfortable.

Cons:

We were given the disabled room which meant we had low, basic white facilities with pull cords everywhere. We would have expected a much nicer bathroom considering we paid £180 per night for a luxury, superior double room. We also had a room with an adjoining door and although our neighbours weren't unusually loud we could hear every word of their conversations. We asked to move rooms but we're told although they understood our issue, they were full and could not move us. Despite that we continued to see new guests arrive throughout the evening. They had obviously allocated the rooms and despite the fact there were other options, they couldn't be bothered to change the allocation.

Pros:

Unfortunately two of the mornings we was woken up at 5am by the above guest stomping around. It sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. So Unfortunately not as rested as hoped, due to business and family time made very difficult when not fully rested

Pros:

Everything was great, stayed there a couple of times but when wanted to order room Service to get my son a hot chocolate, I couldn't as I'd have to leave the room to pay down stairs . A chip and pin machine carried by staff for room service would help this
