Pù Luông JUNGLE KING 1 HOMESTAY

The family who runs this homestay is wonderful and very friendly. The son's English was great and the dad speaks a bit of English as well, so communication was easy. We stayed several nights to slow down and explore the area. The location is great-- in a quiet area, rice farms across the river, a 15-minute walk to Hieu waterfalls, 3-minute walk to some water wheels. Food was good (try the frog's legs!), wi-fi was strong, coffee was stronger.

The accomodation is in individual bamboo huts, which were a bit of a novelty for us and had a rustic charm. The location is quite peaceful (with the exception of the roosters who crowed at any old hour!!) and a nice walking distance to the Hieu waterfall and village. The wider Pu Luong area was beautiful and lived up to its reputation as a less touristy Sapa. Tours are offered at reasonable rates, but we chose to go self-guided. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the food we tried was tasty with a couple of vegetarian options. We kept getting given fresh fruit from the garden, which was delicious!

The owner and his family were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The location was superb, being so close to lush green rice fields with many walking trails and also a nearby waterfall. The owners offered up bananas and mandarins grown in their garden and the home cooked meals on offer also took advantage of garden produce. I loved my stay and would love to return.

Owner was very friendly, talk with us while evening. We had good food and the place looks amazing.

The location, the huts, the amazing food and Hwhy and his family were so lovely!!

Phong cảnh

Nos encantó el ambiente que se respiraba en el alojamiento. La familia nos hizo sentir como en casa, bien cuidadas y cómodas.
Los espacios comunes estaban muy bien y permitían compartir la estancia con otros huéspedes y con la propia familia.
La comida fue abundante y buena. Todo hecho con productos locales y propios. Nos adaptaron la comida a una persona vegana.
El tour por la selva con Tien (el padre) fue una maravilla. Una experiencia única. Tien se esforzaba mucho por enseñarnos y explicarnos cosas muy interesantes a pesar de la barrera del idioma. Nos cuidó mucho.
El tour con las motos fue bonito porque las carreteras tenían unas vistas espectaculares. Fuimos a la bat cave y para nuestra sorpresa, tuvimos que andar mucho (cuesta abajo y arriba) con el calor que hacía, así que se nos hizo bastante duro.
Hoai (el hijo) fue muy acogedor y procuró que estuvieramos cómodas en todo momento. Su inglés era muy fácil de entender y nos explicaba cosas bien interesantes.

Very friendly and comfortable. Family is lovely

The chalet was very basic but it was a good experience. The food was good, there were other guests to spend time with , the showers were hot, there were hamacs to relax in. Above all the area is spectacular. I loved wandering through the villages. 

The owners were lovely and it was a good location to get to the waterfall and eating places nearby if you have a motorbike.

The family are lovely and the location is fantastic. This is effectively camping so make sure your expectations are as such

Great stay here, the owner and family are very friendly and helpful helped arrange transport from the drop off point to the home stay, And back again to Hanoi for a good price you can rent scooters and also arranged walking jungle tours for a very good price too

Meal times the hostel all are together at the same time brought a real home feel to it everyone could chat and exchange story’s and plans.

Toilets and showers are basic but clean

Beds are quite hard and not very good on my back for 4 nights other than that we really enjoyed our stay!
