The experience makes me feel the victim of a scam.
Cons:

The property was nothing like what is pictured, and much worse. The room was not the pictured one—nice one on an upper floor, but in a cluttered basement, with cinderblock walls, and a tiled floor. It smelled of mothballs. The door to the room had a semi-functioning electronic lock, that had to be plugged in to work. The bed was not the pictured four poster; it was covered only with a top sheet. There was not even a mattress cover. The bathroom was not the big, lovely one pictured, but tiny, and had only a shower, not the pictured tub. Worse, the bathroom was clearly being used by someone else, whose damp towel was still hanging there. Meanwhile, no towels had been made available for guests! I told the owner I would not stay there. He took this calmly, and said perhaps I could get a refund, although my payment to him was non-refundable. I left and found a hotel for the night.
