All the staff were amazing and friendly
Service was amazing
And location was perfect
Situated in the beating heart of Thamel, but at the end of a no through road, this hotel is quiet with incredibly gorgeous & knowledgeable staff. The complimentary breakfast was so good, I ate 75% of all my meals at their restaurant.
The hot water didn't seem to work on my arrival but they offered the hot tub & sauna next door for free. I think I was jet lagged because the shower was fine for the 12 days I was there. A great base camp for the offerings of Kathmandu & it's treks...which Ramesh also hosts.
"The owner and the whole staff are lovely and very helpful, I definitely recommend this place for traveller in Nepal. The hotel is located in the heart of thamel. clean and comfortable bedroom."
They had the perfect choices for breakfast—local or western options. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious and well priced. Location is fantastic as it’s down a quiet lane but close to the action. There is also a spa discount which comes in handy after full days of work. Everyone is super helpful and accommodating. The owner is often on site to personally see to it that you have everything you need.
The included breakfast was actually decent. Nice combination of healthy veg, eggs of choice, sausage, fruit salad, and tea/coffee/juice. The food in general was good. We ate at the hotel a few times.
We stored some of our extra luggage before trekking, and unfortunately the rats got a smell of some food in two of the bags, and made an attempt at excavating it. So a couple bags had holes in them after trekking, but not a huge drama.
No hot water.
The bed was comfortable.
During my stay, there was no hot water. I notified the staff the same night and asked them to fix it by the morning. However, when I tried to shower the next morning, there was still no hot water. When I informed the front desk staff about the situation, their response was, "But we haven't received that complaint from any other room; maybe the water finished yesterday night." This response was highly unprofessional.
The breakfast was below standard. The waitstaff and kitchen staff were not professional at all. They were constantly talking loudly and indulging in personal conversations about guests and orders. Discussing other guests in such a manner when we were present was very unprofessional. Additionally, while we were having breakfast, an Indian guest ordered tea, and the staff communicated with the kitchen in a demeaning manner in the local Nepali language.
I paid a high rate for a room with a bathtub, but the tub was dirty, and without hot water, it was useless. For the price charged, I also expected amenities like body lotion in the washroom, which was not provided. The ice-making tray in the mini fridge was very dirty, and I had to wash it myself to make some ice.
When I tried to check out, the front desk staff called someone to check the room and ensure I hadn't taken anything from the minibar and that everything was in order. While I understand the need for this procedure, it should have been done discreetly. Instead, they made me wait in the lobby with my girlfriend, which was quite embarrassing and uncomfortable. When the staff member returned, he announced in the lobby that a whiskey named Old Durbar was missing from the minibar. I was astonished and said, "What?" The front desk lady then clarified that there was no Old Durbar in the minibar in the first place.
Overall, the experience was quite disappointing given the high price and the lack of basic amenities and professional service.
Very very very good, food was good, location was nice, rooms are well maintained.
I loved my room and staffs were cordial. The place was also safe for my son to walk around. The local food although limited options but offers great cuisine, on the go and so definitely sit and dine to and from hotel.
I think staff coordination could improve with training and this is a continuous process which will make it an exceptional place to stay!
Perfect location, Perfect stuff. Everything was excellent
Everything.
The room is lovely, the staff is extremely nice(very helpful and caring with kids). Chicken sandwich is very tasty(as well as many other dishes from the hotel menu). And we really loved the location - its not on the main street, so it's not crowded and loud street but same time very central.
Nothing
Good
Very much
The food is very good, staff is great. Nice property. highly recommended.
Everything was excellent! A comfortable and clean setting in the middle of Thamel yet set back in a quiet and friendly nook for peaceful dining. The food at the restaurant is delicious and well priced--they have the best veg biryani in town! The staff is friendly, accommodating and go out of their way to be helpful. I would definitely stay again and recommend to my friends.
Everything was perfect!
Good location in Thames area but in a quiet cup de sac away from the hustle and bustle.
Staff and owner cooperation. Smiling faces.
Owner Mr. Ramesh is very cooperative and gem of a person.
Driver Mr. Dinesh is one of the best and safe driver I have met so far.
No complaints. However, I have a suggestion to hotel to keep umbrellas for guests
