Fawlty Towers
Pros:

Close to the sea

Cons:

The property is stack in the 1980 is falling apart. The swimming pool is not functional from a long time but still selling as part of the accommodation. Around the hotel there is only one supermarket. The hotel restaurant is very expensive because is the only one in the area and again on the website it look so modern and good but is completely the opposite. This hotel is a trap. It is a max 3 stars.

Great rooms but needs to update its approach to service, food offer and pricing.
Pros:

Rooms were excellent with great view, decor and facilities. The cleaning team were excellent. Room service was very fast.

Cons:

Swimming pool was out of order, foot spa was broken, hot tub had to be booked. Fire in lounge also broken. Menu was limited and very overpriced. There was no sense of the staff wanting to help you explore the island. Felt like a new team that hadn't settled in yet.

Disappointing
Pros:

Breakfast was decent. Location good for ferry and grounds were nice with a lovely fairy trail and interesting carvings in the woods.

Cons:

Disappointed with this stay. Was more expensive but as it was a spa hotel and offered a little luxury I thought it would be worth it, however, it did not meet expectations. Pool was closed during our stay which was unfortunate. Alternatives bookable hot tub offered but didn't offer the same opening times as pool and didn't work with our plans. We paid for the wilderness experience and again disappointed, think we were the first to use it after being locked away for the winter which again just didn't meet expectations.
We had dinner one night and was a bit farcical. We ordered drinks which came after the meal was served...about 40 mins after ordering and after chasing twice. 4 meals ordered, 2 came and the other 2 arrived about 10 minutes later. The chicken dish felt like it had been waiting the whole 40 mins to be served.
Had to call reception about 10.30pm after having a constant boiler/water noise going on every 2 mins for about an hour. Night manager was great and offered to move rooms but it eventually stopped after about an hour.
The staff seemed genuinely lovely, some quite new or tentative and apologetic at points but no action taken. On Check out we weren't asked how our stay was and dont think anyone was particularly interested.

Pros:

Room was excellent. Large, good view and comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant, food was good. Location good for ferry. Barmen were enthusiastic in helping select whiskies to taste.

Cons:

Breakfast not included in room rate. Pool was out of action due to a boiler fault. While we were informed, it was only a day or 2 before our stay and didn't give us time to book somewhere else. While we understand faults happen and we were given complimentary breakfasts to compensate, we had to ask for them. This is an expensive hotel which is partly due to the fact they have the pool and spa, which was one of the major reasons why we selected it. It would have been nice if we had been offered the complimentary breakfasts as the pool was out of action rather than have to ask for them.
But overall it was a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Staff in the whole were nice , reception staff could’ve made more effort
Pros:

Swimming pool was closed , although I suspect the hotel was rationing how much energy it was using , as certain areas they wouldn’t put the nice feature fires on and no pool and I had phoned that week to be told it was open , but from what I father it had been closed for a while . This would’ve affected my choice of venue , as it was a special occasion and a pool would’ve made a difference , with the weather being so bad

Cons:
