Parking, convenient to ferry. Nice room with comfortable bed. Very clean. Large shower with rain shower & full sliding closure doors - a bonus to not spray the bathroom! Lovely view over the water from our room. Little path to water edge. Rainy during our stay so didn't use longer path. Good breakfast choices with friendly staff. Did not eat in main restaurant at night.
We wanted casual small meal dining so chose to not eat in main dining room. Entire bar lounge area on main level was full so we along with others were sent to the downstairs bar area. The bar itself was not actually open on that level nor was anyone specifically taking care of the area. Service was very disorganized even though the staff was friendly enough. We even had to ask for silverware when our food arrived.
Amazing location with a private “park”. Stunning views and wildlife passing by on regular occasions.
the need to use 2 hands to open the room door. Really annoying.
Guter Service, gute Ausstattung und sauber
Zimmertueren fallen mit Knall ins Schloss
Gute Lage zu verschiedenen Fähranbindungen
Sehr hellhörig, bisschen in die Jahre gekommen
The location was nice, I loved that the staff was so kind and friendly with the dogs in the house.
We felt very welcome
..
Everything. Room was lovely, staff very friendly and lovely spa
Nothing
Vom Restaurant aus und aus unserem Zimmer hatten wir großartige Ausblicke auf die Bucht und Duart Castle.
Leider gab‘s keinen Aufzug um ins zweite Untergeschoss mit treppauf, treppab zu gelangen.
Great hotel, peaceful and friendly staff
Convenient location
Rooms are badly located, staff were not friendly and the whole experience was the most disappointing of our trip to Scotland
The ambiance, the view, the food and the staff
Nothing
Hotel and room were very beautiful. Reception staff very nice and helpful. Spa with sauna, steam, foot spa and especially the jacuzzi on the deck outside were truly amazing and made our trip. Relaxing in the tub looking at the mountains and sea in the distance with boats sailing across etc. was truly wonderful. Spa staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Changing rooms were always spotless and even the swimming lessons did not impose on our enjoyment. Only a half hour drive to Tobermory which lovely restaurants and shops etc and 45 minutes to Ulva ferry. 3 minutes drive from Craignure ferry terminal.
We found the lady in charge of the restaurant and the guy in charge of the bar a bit rude. When I ordered my gluten and dairy free breakfast there were several items I could not eat but they were not replaced with more or something else. I therefore felt it was not good value for money at £15 per breakfast compared to everywhere else we'd been (6 other hotels in 10 days) and it was a bit tasteless. I did ask for some avocado in place of the haggis, black pudding and potato cakes but was told that was from a different dish and not possible. There was nothing on the menu for dinner which was less than £40 that I could eat so we had to go elsewhere. Having said that we did have a lovely stay and the spa and room made it.
great location. quiet bedrooms. solid dinner.
front desk staff were really brusque. pool / hot tub not open in the evenings. kind of fun down for the price point.
Loved the location and the staff who were very friendly and helpful
Nothing
Comfortable beds, near to the beach, good point to explore the island.
Waitresses very slow, food to expensive for what quantity and quality you get. Forgot our order, waited over an hour.
The day after they didn’t even ask us for half an hour, if we want to order.
Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms cleaned to a high standard, good food.
the location was great and the views fantastic. the breakfast was great, the best pain au chocolat outside france that I ever had 😃 dinner was also excellent.
The bathroom is very small and we could hear the people in the room above us walk around
