Heerlijk hotel en prachtig terras in de zomer.
Pros:

Prachtig locatie met uitzicht over het meer. Parkeren in de garage direct onder het hotel. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en eigenaar.

Cons:

Het gebouw heeft weinig charme en verouderde kleuren

The woman at reception was lovely. The room was comfortable and in a great location with a coop just across the road. The swimming pool was a nice bonus.

Cons:

No aircon, during the heatwave this was tough as the room got very hot.

Cons:

If you stay at this hotel, be aware that there is no air conditioning and the building is old. So it definitely doesn't live up to a 4-star rating. I really don't recommend it.

Don't go to this hotel with your dog in the summer.

Pros:

Breakfast was basic (bread, cheese, cereals, fruit, meats but no fish, boiled eggs but no other hot options) with good service. Location is OK, 2 supermarkets very close by and a 10 min walk downhill to the boat and tourist information, need to walk back up after. Views are good, rooms a little dark but nicely done. Quiet location and lots to do in the area.

Cons:

Room was a little dark and quite small, restaurant and bar/coffee isn't always open, same for reception.

The pleasant staff. The view from the room
The breakfast with an array of items for every taste. The restaurant and the staff. The indoor pool with direct access to an outside terrace for sunbathing.

Cons:

The lack of signage outside and inside the hotel. On arrival we couldn't see the entrance which was through the parking garage. No clear arrow indicating where to enter and no sign.. With luggage we walked up the steep car drive to finally find the reception. A sign at the main drive entrance for guests arriving on foot would be helpful. Even within the large hotel there is no helpful signage which one usually has in a huge bldg. No fire instructions or arrows to safe zones.

I think Booking.com could mention that the hotel is located up a long hill. We are a couple in our 80s and the walk to the lakeside was long and demanding. The bus service was limited and no taxis around. A shuttle service to and from the hotel to the village would be helpful to more senior guests and guests arriving on public transport or boat.

We noticed that the restaurant staff did not read weather forecasts. The staff layed up
many tables on the outside terrace and erected parasols despite the fact that storms and rain were announced! We wondered why they were not aware of the predicted weather when storm and rain clouds were above! Then we saw them preparing tables and then rushing to clear everything and reset tables inside. It wasn't a surprise change in the weather but evident.

The restaurant menu for main courses was very limited. We dined in the restaurant both nights of our stay but were disappointed at the same menu. The food was good but choice limited.

Ein spektakulärer Blick auf den See und die Berge, einfach traumhaft schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit
Das ganze Haus war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit frischem Obstsalat, Obst und Gemüse. Hausgemachtes Birchermüsli. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, vielleicht ein bisschen klein.
Nicht weit vom Hotel kommt man auf einem sehr schönen Fußweg in ein paar Minuten nach Weggis.

Cons:

Das Bad war schön, sauber, aber ziemlich eng. Das kleine Waschbecken war nervig.

Rommet var ikke så moderne, mem det var rent og vi hadde alt vi trengte. God frokost og veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom personale. Kort vei til sjøen og Rigi kabelbanen.
