Phenomenal - do yourself a favour and book
Pros:

Everything about Steenberg was fantastic, we spent 5 nights there in April and would happily have stayed another 5! The staff are phenomenal, so friendly, welcoming and warm. We loved our room and the turndown service each night. Breakfast was superb, accompanied by views over the mountains. There were also brilliant small touches, such as a shuttle into cape town and being booked for dinner in the delicious Tryn after a long flight

Cons:

I'm scraping the barrel but the shampoo and conditioner weren't my favourite and the pool is in the shade - but, if you're a sun worshipper like me, there's a sunny patch to the side

Spectacular
Pros:

This is our second time staying at Steenberg. It continues to be one of the most exceptional hotels. Rooms are large and beautifully furnished. Food and wine choices are exquisite and fantastic value. All of the staff (across the hotel and restaurants) are so welcoming and offer gold standard service.

Cons:

There is nothing not to love about Steenberg.

Sehr schöner Garten, wunderschöne Hotelanlage.
Unser Zimmer mit eigener Terrasse war sehr großzügig modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Alles sehr sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Bistro außergewöhnlich gut und sehr zu empfehlen. Frühstück im Restaurant hervorragend, alles frisch und sehr schön angerichtet.

Cons:

Poolanlage ist leider sehr schattig und dunkel da durch zu viele Bäume keine Sonne durchkommt.

Ruhig und erstklassig
Pros:

Es war sehr ruhig und das Personal war durch die Bank sehr freundlich. Die Verpflegung war sehr erstklassig, auch im Verglich zu Kapstadt. Es gibt sogar einen Michelin Stern. Das Frühstück wird am Tisch serviert.

Schöne Anlage, und sehr weitläufig.
Tolle Möglichkeit zum laufen, joggen etc.
Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich, schwer einzuschätzen was genau man “bekommt”.
Pool area ist klein aber sehr gepflegt.

Cons:

Die Mitarbeiter sind nicht gleichbleibend freundlich und aufmerksam.

Es ist mein Lieblingswein gut in Südafrika, und es war eine Freude, dort zu übernachten.

Cons:

Der Service war leider teilweise sehr bemüht, aber hat falsche Aussagen getroffen, so dass wir unseren Wein Wine Tasting nicht machen konnten. Aber sonst war der Service super freundlich und aufmerksam. Insgesamt top Service.

Great facilities , but had food poisoning
Pros:

Beautiful property and the rooms and facilities and staff were excellent - service amazing

Cons:

We got severe food poisoning from eating dinner at their bistro on first night and have been sick for over a week and management still didn’t get back to us. We have had to go into a hospital and are on antibiotics, and doctors confirmed it was food poisoning.
